I need a prayer answered

We thank God for these answered prayer requests and hope that they will encourage your faith to trust Him with all your needs.

Hallie, Marilyn and Sarah were praying against cancer on their program. Hallie had a knot (lump) on her hand that had been there for many years. The doctors said it was skin cancer. Hallie didn’t have the resources for continued medical treatment. She came into agreement prayer with Marilyn and Sarah and suddenly the lump disappeared on her hand as they were praying. She returned to the doctor and received confirmation that her hand was healed.

Louise, called for prayer for her husband. The doctors said he needed a heart transplant. After prayer, Louise informed us that the doctors said he doesn’t need the surgery. He is healed!

Jaiah, was going through depression and almost to the point of ‘giving up’. There were problems in his family and church that were ‘insurmountable’. While watching the program each day, he felt renewed hope and encouragement to his heart and mind. He said, “Marilyn and Sarah’s enthusiasm and knowledge of the Word of God revived me and increased my faith to believe and to put my trust in God.” He attributes his victory over depression toward watching Today with Marilyn and Sarah.

Shirley, one day Marilyn and Sarah were praying for those who had diabetes. Shirley’s sugar/glucose level was between 300-400. She placed her hand on the TV and felt warmth all throughout her body and ‘knew something was happening in her body’. She returned to the doctor and it was confirmed, she was healed and her pancreas and insulin/glucose levels are normal.

LaDonna, attributes the following testimony toward being a Partner with Marilyn Hickey Ministries. There had been many problems in the family that caused a division between her and her daughter. Her daughter moved away with the grandchildren and LaDonna didn’t know their whereabouts for over 7 years. Meanwhile, she started watching the program on a daily basis and was encouraged by the ministry and mission outreaches all over the world. She decided to become a partner and support Marilyn Hickey Ministries’ endeavors. Less than one month after becoming a Partner, she found a note taped to her door with a phone number written on it to call. She called the number and, much to her surprise, was rejoined with her family. There are still some issues that need to be worked out, but she attributes this miraculous reunion to Marilyn and Sarah and their prayers for their Partners!

Barbara, on the program, Sarah prayed for those with back troubles, and Barbara noticed later on that her back was healed and on her birthday!

Beverly, while watching Marilyn teach on forgiveness and let go of bitterness on the program, Beverly was instantly able to forgive and let go of bitterness and has a new joy in the Lord.

Linda, had called for prayer for her son’s healing from heart surgery on the aorta. His heart stopped twice after the surgery, but was able to be revived. He is now at home and doing well.

Ruben, called to say that he had been out of work for six months had been having trouble sleeping worrying about financial difficulties. His wife told him she was watching the Marilyn Sarah program Sarah had a word from the Lord “that someone was not able to sleep at night worrying about problems bills, but not to worry about it because God is going to handle everything.” Ruben had just received a letter saying his unemployment was going to be extended he called to say that God is working his way right now.

John, called the ministry to let us know that numbness had subsided in his body, while watching the television program, after Marilyn had prayed.

Noami, requested prayer online one month ago for her son who needed a job. God answered her prayer and her son now has a job and is getting multiple job offers.

Kim, had a financial need on Monday, and while watching the program, Kim felt led to give a financial gift. By Friday, her financial need had been met.

Annette, on the television program, Marilyn prayed for anyone with tumors; Annette had 3 fibroid, which caused discomfort. After Marilyn prayed, Annette discovered that the tumors were gone.

Bobbie, was in need of a job and called for prayer. After praying with a ministry partner, Bobbie was blessed with a job.

Mark, called the ministry one week ago wanting prayer regarding money that was owed him. We prayed and he received his money back!

How My Deceased Mother Answered My Father – s Desperate Prayer in

How My Deceased Mother Answered My Father s Desperate Prayer in a Dream

Shortly after my mother committed suicide by setting our home on fire, my father, younger brothers, and I temporarily moved with my aunt and her family.

Then another catastrophe came a few weeks later when a hail storm with golf ball-sized hail ripped through the family farm decimating my father’s potato crop. My father became a modern-day Job.

A few days later, I walked into the kitchen one morning and found my father sobbing at the kitchen bar. He was trying to muffle his painful sobs in his weathered farmer hands. He could barely speak to me as he was gasping for air.

He said the night before, he had read the following passage of scripture in Matthew 7:7: Ask, and it shall be given you; seek, and ye shall find; knock, and it shall be opened unto you.

He said he then knelt by his bed and pleaded for answers from God. “God, you took my wife away. And then you took my house. Now you’ve taken my crop. Why? What am I supposed to do?” My father then fell asleep and had the following dream: I found myself looking into a room filled with garbage and filth. Water began to flood the room and eventually washed the garbage and debris completely out. What was left, was a clean room that had no evidence of ever being dirty. I was then taken to our home and found your mother standing next to me on the front porch. The house was back to normal and a feeling of joy and peace was present. We were both in our twenties again. We were twitterepated and in love and the excitement that we first felt when we were dating all came back. It was the feelings of why we got married. Your mother then grabbed my hand and started to walk with me. I then stopped walking and in disbelief said to her “Wait, you’re dead. Why did you do this to us? What are we supposed to do?” With much grief in her face, she replied, “I am so sorry. But everything is going to work out.” I then collapsed into your mother’s lap and I sobbed as she held me. And then woke up and found myself sobbing into my pillow.

My father then explained his interpretation of what he just saw. My mother’s emotional health crippled her personality and her ability to safely love. It changed her as a person and robbed her of the person she once was.

The garbage and debris in that room represented all of the bad memories. The times when my mother was not in her right mind. The times of her yelling and screaming and suicide attempts. The times she said she hated my father and she became nearly an impossible person to love.

The water represented the Savior’s Atonement and His perfect ability to cleanse and make our lives whole again. And then the tender mercy of God in allowing my father to experience one last time the reason why he married my mother and to see her for the person she truly is.

Several of my siblings and I had dreams too where our mother appeared to us just once. Her messages we’re always short but tailored to our pleadings for comfort.

I believe in an afterlife with people who are concerned for us and a God who is pained when we are pained. I’ve had to draw on these experiences to remind me of God’s love.

How Does One Perform The Prayer Of Need (salat al-haja)?

I need a prayer answered I need a prayer answered I need a prayer answered I need a prayer answered

Answered by Faraz Rabbani

Question: How does one perform the prayer of need (salat al-haja)?

Answer: In the Name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful, and all blessings and peace upon our master Muhammad, his Folk, Companions and those who follow their noble way,

Abullah ibn Abi Awfa (Allah be pleased with him) relates that the Messenger of Allah (Allah bless him and give him peace) said, “Whoever has a need with Allah, or with any human being, then let them perform ritual ablutions well and then pray two rakats. After that, let them praise Allah and send blessings on the Prophet (Allah bless him and give him peace). After this, let them say,

There there no god but Allah the Clement and Wise.

There is no god but Allah the High and Mighty.

Glory be to Allah, Lord of the Tremendous Throne.

All praise is to Allah, Lord of the worlds.

I ask you (O Allah) everything that leads to your mercy, and your tremendous forgiveness, enrichment in all good, and freedom from all sin.

Do not leave a sin of mine (O Allah), except that you forgive it, nor any concern except that you create for it an opening, nor any need in which there is your good pleasure except that you fulfill it, O Most Merciful!

[Related by Tirmidhi and Ibn Maja. The hadith has some weakness, but it is slight: such hadiths are acted upon for virtuous deeds (fada’il al-a`mal) by general agreement of Sunni scholarship]

The prayer of need is very simple: It is essentially to raise one s need to Allah Most High, by performing ritual ablution (wudu), praying 2 rakats (or four), and then making whole-hearted dua to Allah. If one uses the abovementioned Prophetic supplication, or other similar supplications transmitted from the Beloved Messenger of Allah (Allah bless him and give him peace), it is best. [Ibrahim al-Halabi, Sharh Munyat al-Musalli; al-Fatawa al-Hindiyya; Ibn Abidin, Radd al-Muhtar]

The inward manners of supplication is exhibiting our neediness and absolute slavehood to Allah, consigning one s matters to Allah, and knowing that the only one who gives or benefits is Allah Most High. With this, one should be certain that Allah Most High answers our duas, but in the way He knows is best for us.

When circumstances do not permit us to pray 2 rakats, one should still turn to Allah in supplication, raising one’s needs to Him, for He answers our supplications and loves being asked.

And Allah alone gives success.

I have gallstones. They were described to me as a sandbag. My doctor recommended removing the gallbladder; however, I’m wondering whether there is an effective alternative to dissolve the gallstones? I would like to avoid surgery. Your input is highly appreciated.

The gallbladder is a small sack in the right upper abdomen below the liver and above the head of the pancreas. It holds bile, a fluid secreted from the liver. It is common for water to be extracted from the bile in the gallbladder. This can lead to formation of sludge and hardened gallstones, a condition called cholelithiasis. Gallstones are most often asymptomatic, but they can cause abdominal pain and in severe cases, infection. They rarely death.

Gallstone disease is one of the most common of all digestive diseases. The U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention estimates that 6.3 million men and 14.2 million women in the United States have gallbladder disease. There is marked variation in the prevalence between ethnic groups.

There are higher rates in western European, Hispanic and Native American populations and lower rates in eastern European, African American and Asian populations. This is mostly because of differences in diet.

Family history and genetics are important risk factors. Women are more likely to develop gallstones; having had a large number of children also increases risk. Those with obesity, high triglycerides and diabetes are at increased risk for gallstones. Rapid weight loss through crash dieting and weight reduction surgery is a risk factor for gallstones. Some doctors recommend these people take the drug ursodeoxycholic acid to prevent gallstone formation.

Studies suggest that a high intake of coffee, vegetable protein or polyunsaturated and monounsaturated fats are associated with a lower risk of gallstone disease.

Asymptomatic gallstones are extremely common, rarely progress to symptoms and should be left alone. These are often discovered through an abdominal ultrasound or a CT scan done for other reasons.

Patients with symptoms of gallbladder disease need to be treated. The most common symptom is biliary colic or a gallbladder attack, which is pressure or pain usually caused by stones pressing on the gallbladder sphincter as the gallbladder contracts in response to a fatty meal. The pain is usually constant despite the name colic. It commonly radiates to the back and right shoulder. It can be associated with sweating, nausea and vomiting. It can be severe and then plateau over an hour or so as the gallbladder relaxes.

Symptoms of a gallbladder attack are nonspecific and should be evaluated by a skilled clinician. They can be confused with symptoms of peptic ulcer disease, cardiac chest pain, esophageal chest pain, gastroesophageal reflux disease, irritable bowel syndrome, hepatitis and pancreatitis. Gallstones can be a cause of pancreatitis.

Patients with gallstones and pressure or pain often need surgery to remove the gallbladder.

This operation is called a cholecystectomy. In one study, 70 percent of people with these symptoms received surgery within two years.

For those with mild symptoms, drug therapy with ursodeoxycholic acid is sometimes attempted to dissolve stones. Lithotripsy, which is an ultrasound therapy to break up stones, is also used. Both of these treatments are frequently not successful.

Both have decreased in popularity as minimally invasive laproscopic cholecystecomy has become commonly available. This is a surgery in which a small incision is made usually in the umbilicus (belly button), and the gallbladder is removed through a scope.

The presence of fever and constant abdominal pain can signal that the condition has progressed to acute cholecystitis. This is an infection that needs to be treated immediately and is often a surgical emergency.
