    AutoClerk’s Yield Management Report is a general manager’s favorite. It calculates revenue and occupancy statistics for any combination of time periods, (past, present and future), by rate class or source of business – a critical tool in budgeting, planning and optimizing a property’s rates.

    Guest History Profiles

    AutoClerk’s “profile lookup” searches the entire AutoClerk database, including past stays, current check-ins and future reservations. Profile lookups can identify by guest, company, group, or travel agent and can be made to be automatic, so that a reservation name entry will invoke a profile list of matches. Choosing from the profile list makes a reservation entry fast (the clerk need not type in the entire name and address) and also serves to provide consistent spelling of names and addresses to greatly enhance marketing and sales efforts. It also allows a reservationist to see how much business a guest brings to the hotel in terms of nights, stays and revenue.

    Room Allotments

    AutoClerk has built-in support for wholesaler room allotments with rolling cut-off dates and pickup reports. Each day of an allotment can have its own setting for number of rooms allotted, and AutoClerk will not allow reservation entry which overbooks a given allotment.     Once the card number is given to Hotel. The Hotel can take pre-authorization for min one room night to a complete stay.
    Credit card will be verified for the bookings maded under flexible cancellation booking policy.

    Governmental Taxes and Service Charge
    The current governmental Taxes are 10% municipality and Tourism Fee of AED 15 will be charged for each room. Any increase or decrease in Taxes will be implemented accordingly.
    The service charge at the moment is 10% to be deducted for each room

    Intellectual property rights
    The Guest acknowledges and agrees that ownership of all rights to the hotel intellectual property rights shall at all times remain vested in and belong to the hotel and/or the hotel’s relevant licensor(s) and that all usage accrues for the sole benefits of the hotel and/or the hotel relevant licensor(s).
    The Guest shall not use or permit the use of any of the hotel intellectual property right including names, brandings and/or logo or any identifiable mark of the hotel’s relevant licensor(s), for any purpose whatsoever, without the express prior written consent of the hotel and its relevant licensor(s).
    Pets.
    The Management do not allow the Guest to check in with Pets

    Currency
    The rate and currency for the payment is AED (UAE local currency) however the Guest can make the booking in other currency as the same option is provided at the time of booking. The rate will be converted on the current conversion at the time of booking.

    Force Majeure
    If either party is directly or indirectly affected by force majeure events, it shall promptly notify the other party, as soon as reasonably practicable but in any event with in 3 calendar days after becoming aware of the commencement of the relevant event, of the nature and the extent of the circumstances in question.
    Other than in respect of payment obligations under this contract neither party shall be deemed to be in breach of the contract or otherwise liable to the other, for any delay in performance or the non-performance of any of its obligations under this contact to the extent that the delay or non-performance is entirely due to force majeure event.
    Where a party claims a force majeure event, other party shall be entitled to terminate the contract where the force majeure event prevents performances for 30 calendar days or more.
    If at any time the tour operator claims a force majeure event in respect of its obligations under the contract, the hotel shall be entitled to offer the tour operator’s allocations to other tour operator/DMC companies.
    Before exercising its right of termination under this clause the party requesting termination shall negotiate in good faith with the other party to reach an agreement on the continued performance of the contract.
    Neither party shall be entitled to claim a force majeure event for any actions or circumstances by the party’s own fault or negligence.

    Non-Refundable Booking
    Bookings made under non-refundable booking policy cannot be cancelled and amended in any case.
    Payment for the non-refundable bookings will be deducted by the hotel on the same day of the booking.
    While proving the credit card details guest authorize the hotel to deduct the payment for Non-Refundable Bookings.
    Any Late cancellation or NO Show will be charges as per the booking policy

    Flexible Booking
    Any Late cancellation or NO Show will be charged as per the prevailing booking policy.

    Child Policy:
    0-3 years (up to 4th Birthday) sharing with parents in the same room. No charge for accommodation in existing bedding. All meals free of charge (subject to parent’s package).
    4-11 years (up to 12th Birthday) sharing with parents in the same room on existing bedding. Breakfast will be changed.
    1 adult and 1 or 2 children (up to 12th birthday) sharing a room, single/double rate will apply, inclusive of breakfast for up to 2 persons. Breakfast supplement will apply on the 2nd child as per children policy.

    San Antonio is the 7th largest city in the United States and is regarded as the “Tourism Capital of Texas.” Thanks to the overwhelming support by area employers, the world’s leading hospitality management program (that’s us!) has a new campus at Sunset Station’s historic Mission Hotel. Hilton College is the first provider of a Bachelor of Science in Hotel and Restaurant Management in the Alamo City.

    Faculty Accolades

    Dr. Juan M. Madera has had his paper titled Situational Perspective Taking as an Intervention for Improving Attitudes Toward Organizations that Invest in Diversity Management Programs” accepted for publication in the Journal of Business and Psychology (a SSCI journal).

    Drs. Tiffany Shin and Nathan Jarvis have received a $15,000 research grant from the Society for Hospitality and Foodservice Management Foundation to investigate consumer perceptions of ugly produce, how those perceptions influence consumers willingness to pay, and the industry implications and hurdles of reclaiming such produce. The United States loses approximately 40 percent of its food from farm to fork. Foodservice operations are responsible for $86 billion of this waste each year. Much of this waste occurs because produce has slight imperfections that mar its appearance and, therefore, consumers don t purchase it. Their study will contribute to the sustainability of foodservice operations, reduction of overall food waste in the U.S. and the education of chefs, foodservice managers and instructors.

    Jiseon Ahn. a doctoral candidate in the College s first cohort of Ph.D. students, has published a book chapter titled Trends in Medical Tourism in South Korea in Medical Tourism and Wellness. The chapter was co-authored with Dr. Ki-Joon Back and Dr. Jungkun Park. Jiseon is also the recipient of the Cullen Fellowship Travel Grant from the Office of the Provost. The grant covers much of the cost for the annual Asia Pacific Tourism Association Conference that she will attend in Busan, South Korea, in June.
