Rebus Puzzle Brain-teaser Online Rebuzz Plus

    Rating. 7.2 / 10 – 742 votes

Rebuzz Plus is a challenging riddle-based brain-teaser game for teens and grownups that uses a special type of word puzzle called a Rebus (a pictogram riddle that uses imagery, motion and letters to represent well-known phrases, words or parts of words.) It’s like a mix between Scrabble and Pictionary. In each rebus puzzle, you have to work out a well-known phrase or idiom in the English language from the word or picture representation with words displayed.

There are 30 brain-teasers for you to set your mind to. See how many of them you can find the solution to. This challenging problem-solving game is a good activity to test and exercise your thinking and linguistic skills, and should also help to improve your spelling and punctuation, as you have to get the wording of the answers meticulously correct in order to progress. Ok Brainiac, it’s time to maximize your brain power. Happy problem-solving!

How to Play: Follow the recommended tutorial at the start to get to grips with the types of puzzles you are going to face. For example, you might get a puzzle that looks like this:

Figured it out? Well, the word walk is in the middle of the word park, so the answer is ‘Walk in the Park’. In Rebuzz Plus, you are shown a puzzle, and you have to type in the answer underneath it. Left Click into the typing box with your computer mouse, and use your keyboard to type in the answer. When you think you’ve got it, click ‘Submit’ or hit the Return key.

If you are correct, you move onto the next puzzle. If you are incorrect, nothing will happen. On each puzzle, you can get a tip by clicking the ‘Hint’ button in the top right corner of the game screen. You also have three ‘Skips’ where, if you get stuck, you can skip a puzzle without solving it. Remember to be careful with your spelling. You might think you have the correct answer but you could be just missing an apostrophe. There are 30 tricky levels to complete.

iAssociate 2: A Truly Unique Word Game for the iPhone

iAssociate 2 for the iPhone ($3.99) is a truly unique word game. It seems like most of the word games you come across in the App Store are variations of Boggle, Text Twist or Scrabble. iAssociate 2 is refreshingly unlike any of these.

The object of iAssociate 2 is to uncover associated words which are all related to a theme, such as food. You are initially presented with one central word (the theme word) that is surrounded by related words whose letters are represented by dashes.

The number of letters for each word is in parentheses. You simply guess what the unknown words are. When you type in a correct answer, 250 points are added to your score, the completed word turns red, and new associations (indicated by dotted lines) appear. If you only guess one or more letters in unsolved words, you receive 5 points per letter. Each puzzle also has at least one bonus word that is more difficult to solve. As you gain points, new levels are opened up, and you are awarded medals.

Initially, the game can seem intimidating since you aren t given any clues, aside from the number of letters and the theme of the puzzle, to assist you in figuring out a word. But, there are techniques for solving the puzzles that make the task of solving easier. For example, assume your known word is horse and you see several associated words related to it. Possibilities might include colt, foal, mare, filly, equine, etc. You can type your guesses on the blank words, or, to save time and effort, simply click on horse, and type in your guesses. If you do it this way, the game will automatically fill the associated words into their correct slots.

Even if you don t have any idea what the related terms might be, you can still solve the words simply by typing each letter of the alphabet in turn until you uncover the first letter, second letter, etc. This becomes tedious pretty quickly, but sometimes that s the only way to make progress.

iAssociate 2 offers help in two forms. First, you can request help for individual words within the app by pressing the hint button, but you are limited as to the number of hints you can receive in a given puzzle. The app also allows you to request help via Facebook. Simply press the Facebook button and then touch the word you can t solve. Your request for help will appear on the app s Facebook page and another player might just give you the assistance you need.

I m pretty stubborn when it comes to solving puzzles, so I m not likely to use the hint button or the Facebook option. However, I am not above using Google to figure out related words. For example, I worked a puzzle that included numerous words from WWII, including the names of certain aircraft. I utilized Google to research WWII aircraft, discovered possible words, and eventually I solved the puzzle. What s great is that, not only did I have fun solving the puzzle, but I also learned some history (and aircraft trivia) in the process. That s one reason I really like iAssociate. I always learn something new while I m playing it. How often can you say that about a word scramble game?

What s Macgasmic. iAssociate is a wonderfully unique word game that is both challenging and fun. Gameplay is simple once you learn a few solving techniques. And, when you uncover words, more associations are revealed, so the game is similar to a treasure hunt—one clue leads to another and another. I really enjoy the easy pace of the game. You don t play against a clock, though you can earn medals for solving puzzles quickly. My favorite aspect, as noted above, is that the game encourages learning as you discover new associations and words.

What s Not: The game does have a few weaknesses, all of them related to typing. If you only partially solve a word or phrase, you have to retype the whole thing in order to solve it. For example, in one puzzle I typed One Flew Over the Cookoo s Nest (obviously I misspelled the word cuckoo ). So, the game showed me the consecutive letters I got correct: One flew over the c – – -. But I couldn t just type the remaining letters to solve the phrase. I had to retype the entire expression again. On the iPhone s tiny keypad, this gets pretty frustrating. Also related to the iPhone s small screen is the fact that words can be hard to see, especially when the puzzle expands. You can zoom in slightly, but I sure hope there s an iPad version in the works. iAssociate would be much easier to play with on the bigger screen.

One last quirk I noticed: when typing abbreviations, you have to type with the exact punctuation and spacing that the game creator used or you will get the word wrong. So, if the solution is J.F.K. but you type J. [space] F. [space] K. you will only get the first letter and period correct. This isn t a major problem, and I can t think of a way the developer could avoid it. But at 3:00 a.m. with only one word left to solve, little annoyances like that can make the game less enjoyable.

Try Playing Family Feud in the Classroom: A Fun Inter-Class Game #answer #my #question.com

    #family feud questions and answers

    #

Of course, Family Feud is a well-known game. Play the game in the classroom for a fun twist. It is easy to play and costs nothing but a bit of time. This game is best played when you can involve another classroom. In this way, a class can receive a variety of answers and you can teach cooperation among unrelated groups. You can even use this game as a lesson in diversity as you focus on specific cultural activities or foods. Students may be surprised at what they can learn from each other by playing this simple and fun educational game.

This game can be modified to fit the needs of the classroom in consideration of group size and timing. To describe this game I am going to base it on two classes of fifteen working together. Feel free to modify it as you see fit. Also, this version involves family members. To create the game, both classrooms will need to do the following:

    • Break the students up into two groups. These will be the “families”.
    • Have the students come up with “survey questions”. Organize the questions so that you have a list of twenty questions.
    • Have the students take the questions home and ask 1-2 people in their family answers to the questions. Sample questions are listed later in this article.
    • When the questions come back, have the children group like answers. Tally up the top three to five answers. At this point, each of the twenty questions should have three to five top answers.
    • Trade questions with the other class to use to play the game.

As you can see, this activity is one to be done over a week’s time. Begin on Monday and actually play the game on Friday. To play the game, play it almost as you see it on the television show. Have the groups separate. For each question, ask a different student. He or she must consult with “family” for the answer. Points are tallied based upon the number of answers that were given when surveyed. For example, if answer number one had that answer from thirty parents, then that answer would be worth thirty points.

    Here are some sample questions:

    • Name three vegetables kids hate to eat.
    • Name something you make out of flour.
    • Name the most common handheld electronic gadgets
    • Name the top activities that kids do in the summer.
    • Name the most popular TV shows.
    • Name the most dreaded household chores.
    • Name the most popular skateboarding tricks.
    • Name the things used in a garden.
    • Name things that girls do at a slumber party.
    • Name games to be played on the playground.

The questions should be designed to provoke more than one answer. The students can have fun with these questions, and will be using several types of skills to work on this project. Mathematical skills, deductive reasoning and responsibility are a few. This game can also be combined with learning themes for the week or month. For instance, if the theme is gardening, you might want to ask students to focus their questions on plants, gardening supplies or techniques. Remember, Family Feud in the classroom is just another fun learning tool to incorporate into your current lesson plans! Get creative and find new ways to use this game to your educational advantage!

Family Feud Game for Showers Parties

    Family Feud Game Boards

If you are looking for an upbeat shower or party game, look no further. At a bridal shower for my brother and his fiance, we played the classic game of Family Feud. Prep work took some time .especially considering I had to DVR and skim through many episodes in search of topics that relate to the couple s interests. (I did finally make up some of the questions/answers after much internet research!) But having questions related to the couple made the game more interesting and an opportunity for guests to learn about them.

Guests had the option of playing as a family member or to simply be a member of the studio audience. We played the game just like the TV show minus the final round. And, I made sure to have the Family Feud Theme Song for added fun . A couple of our questions included: Something People Run For (because this couple met when the bride-to-be was running) and Top 9 Items to Take Camping (this couple loves the outdoors).

As to preparing the boards, yep, it takes some time. I put the answer covers on with poster puddy. It seemed the easiest. When we played this game at a church youth group night years ago, a techy volunteer created a computerized version of the game for us. Very cool if you can manage it. No big screen for us here, just an easel with the game boards.

One thing you do need is a corny host. Yes, this is my husband wearing a blue leisure suit, some gold chains and a crazy wig. If only you could have seen him enthusiastically jogging in as the music blared and his name was announced, giving high fives to all family members. I love that man!

    Yep, that s my husband!

This game is perfect for a mixed shower! The bad part: not everyone gets to play the game. The good part: not everyone has to play the game. The best part: all the laughter and friendly competition!

The Hcg weight loss weight loss program is based on removing
all glucose and packaged carbs like grain, noodles,

Each Christmas we have something special planned just for the adults of our family. As parents, uncles, aunts, and grandparents we are thrilled at the joy that we help provide for the kidlings in our family to celebrate Christmas, our favorite being our magical annual Polar Express Christmas Eve followed by a special devotional including the reading of the Birth of Christ to remind us all of the true reason for the season and provide another opportunity for us as adults to testify of that to them. But as adults we also look forward to a time to be kids ourselves-by ourselves, usually in the form of a game compiled by myself. In the past the basis for the games have been derived from our favorite movies. our unique Dix family vernacular, or we have been the subjects ourselves. This is of course accompanied by tear-jerking laughter and intense competition, some images and moments I will never forget!

This year I thought it would be fun to revamp an old classic and do a Holiday Family Feud Game.

Of course this is where you come in.
As you know each answer on the show is proceeded by the words, “Survey Says. “
And the survey was of course asked to 100 people with the top answers on the board.
So would you be 1 of those 100 people and please answer the following 10 questions/inquiries.
    Pretty please.
Once I reach a 100 I will post the top answers so that anyone who wishes to use this little game may enjoy it with their own wonderful family this Christmas season.

Please make a comment with your answers labeled 1, 2, 3. you get the idea:)
Thank you so much for your assistance in compiling my little game.

    ***UPDATED with ANSWERS ***
*** Thank you to everyone who helped me compile these results. I had so much fun reading everyone’s responses:) The top answers from 100 people surveyed listed below each inquiry. I will let each of you determine what to do them. Some answers could be combined, but I’ll leave that up to you. Click here for a link to the basic rules for playing Family Feud. We usually play men vs women – a little dangerous but loads of heated fun. I hope this will bring lots of laughter and energy to your holiday celebrations.***

    8. Betty White 2

honorable mentions – Audrey Hepburn, Maggie Lawson, Keri Russell, Zooey Deschanel, Jennifer Gardner

This question produced a wide range of answers. Was fun to read everyone’s crushes;). Since I was not able to question 100 men or 100 women for these questions, if you’d like to continue my quest, I can email you all the responses so you can continuing tallying til you reach 100.

Wishing you lots of “survey said” and “good answer! good answer!” this holiday season.

oh and for #10 I would love to be able to do separate questions for answers from both men and women, so ask the men in your life and you can label it 10 b. and no jealousy allowed. i already know that Mike’s answer would be Kate Beckinsale and I’m ok with it:)

Dad Knows Best: A Baby Shower Question Game

    Photo Ariel Skelley/Getty Images

I recently went to a baby shower where they were playing a really cute baby shower question game that I had not seen done at a baby shower before. It was a lot like the Newlywed Game, except that it was all about having a new baby and what thoughts the partner had. I thought it was a really nice way to incorporate the partner, even if they were not at the party. (Though this would totally be an awesome couples shower game !)

Before the baby shower. the hostess had contacted the dad and asked a series of questions about the pregnancy, birth, and baby. The answers were recorded and sealed for the party. When it came time to start the baby shower games, the questions were then the same exact questions were asked of the mother.

So you read the questions or pass the out to the audience, without the answers. Give them pens and paper and let them guess what his responses were to the questions. Then you have the mom answer and then read the dad’s answers. The winner is the person who had the most number of right answers. You can choose to have a prize or not.

Here are some examples of questions that you could ask as a part of the game:

    • Did mom-to-be have morning sickness or all day sickness?
    • Did the mom-to-be actually throw up or just have trouble with nausea?
    • What smells turned her stomach in pregnancy?
    • Did she avoid certain foods in any part of pregnancy?
    • What foods did she crave?
    • Which grew faster, her belly or her behind?
    • Would she say she’s carrying low or high ?
    • Who would she think is more likely to get up in the middle of the night with the baby?
    • Who will be more nervous when labor has started?
    • Did dad gain weight in pregnancy too? (If yes, how much?)
    • Who will be stricter with the baby?
    • Who gets to pick the baby’s name ?
    • Who is the baby most likely to look like?
    • Is the baby more likely to see a blank or blank game? (Here you can insert names of teams or of various sports.)
    • Who will hold the baby more?
    • Who will cry with the baby more?
    • How long will ________ take off work?
    • How long will labor last?
    • Who will ask for pain medication in labor first?
    • Who was the first person you told about the pregnancy?
    • Who was right about the sex of the baby? (If the couple knows the sex of baby.)
    • What will mom’s first post-baby meal be?
    • The baby is most likely to look like:
    • Which of you is more likely to forget the baby someplace?
    • Who will enforce the rules of the house?

This game is meant to be funny and a bit silly. Be very careful about the questions that you ask. While a question in the above list might be fine for one family, it may not be for another. You will have to judge this for yourself. It’s best to keep your list of questions to about 10-15 in length. Too much more and it becomes hard to manage.

While this was done between mom and dad, it could be translated to work well with nearly any family member. This would also make a really cute game to play using a sibling or other involved family member. You can totally move things around here and have fun with the questions and questioners.

    Mad Gab Game Rules #answers #to #riddles

    #mad gab phrases and answers

    #

To be the first team to land on or pass the FINISH oval. Progress is made by correctly hearing the Mad Gabs.

    GETTING READY TO PLAY

Unfold the board. Players divide into two teams. Each team select one playing piece and put it on the START oval.

    MAD GAB CARDS

Each Mad Gab card has four Mad Gabs on it- two on each side. One side of the card has a green border and the other an orange border. The Mad Gab cards should be played through in the following order:

    • Green side with the words Mad Gab the right way up.
    • Green side with the words Mad Gab upside down.
    • Orange side with the words Mad Gab the right way up.
    • Orange side with the words Mad Gab upside down.

The Green Mad Gabs are generally easier than the Orange .

When you read a Mad Gab the answer is at the top of the other side of the card.

    READERS STEALERS

Each turn a team member is nominated the READER . At the same time one member of the opposing team is nominated the STEALER . All players must take their turn at being READERS and STEALERS.

    TO PLAY MAD GAB

    • The team with the youngest player starts.
    • The READER takes the first THREE Mad Gab cards from the box. Without looking at the answers to the three Mad Gabs themselves, they show the three answers to everyone in the opposing team, except the STEALER.
    • Play begins when the timer is up-ended by the opposing team. The READER then reads out one of the three Mad Gabs to his team. The READER reads out the Mad Gab repeatedly, while his team members try to work out what phrase they are hearing .
    • Team members shout out suggested phrases, demand that the READER read faster or slower, ask for words to be emphasised and so on.
    • When a team member shouts out the correct answer the opposing team immediately confirm that it IS correct and the READER moves onto the next Mad Gab card and repeats the process. When the timer runs out the turn is finished. At this point the STEALER has the opportunity to shout out the answer to any Mad Gabs that were read out but not solved. They score one point for each Mad Gab they solve.
    • The READER counts the Mad Gabs solved by his team and moves their playing piece anti clockwise round the board by that number. The STEALER then moves his playing piece forward if he has scored any points. The three Mad Gab cards used during that turn are not put back in the box but rather put onto a discard pile.
    • The instruction on the oval you land on is carried out on your NEXT turn. The instruction could be one of the following:

You have TWO run-throughs of the timer to solve THREE Mad Gabs. As soon as the sand has run out the opposing team turn over the timer to start the second run through. If the team solves all THREE Mad Gabs before the timer is turned their turn is over.

You get to take TWO normal turns one straight after the other. Add the two scores together for a possible total of 6. Remember to discard your first set of THREE Mad Gab cards and take THREE new ones before you start your second turn.

Whatever your score is at the end of your turn, double it and move that number of spaces.

The READER reads the THREE Mad Gabs to both teams. There is no STEALER and no-one sees the answers. The READER must decide if he thinks an answer being shouted out is right, then look at the answer to find out. If it IS right the READER puts the card in front of the team that won it then quickly reads the next Mad Gab. He continues until the timer runs out.

If the answer is wrong, that card is discarded and the READER reads the next Mad Gab. When the timer runs out each team moves their playing piece round the board by the number of Mad Gabs they have solved.

If one member from each team shouts out the answer to a Mad Gab at the same time the READER awards one point to each team.

During a TO EVERYONE turn the READER has the final decision on who solved a Mad Gab first.

Rather than taking THREE Mad Gab cards the READER takes FOUR Mad Gab cards from the pack. The turn is played as normal. The only difference is that the team has the opportunity to solve four Mad Gabs and score 4 points.

Rather than taking THREE Mad Gab cards the READER takes only TWO from the pack. The turn is played as normal. The only difference is that the team can only solve a maximum of two Mad Gabs and score 2 points.

In essence the opposing team gets to take two turns in a row. They have a turn, at the end of which they move their playing piece accordingly. Then, rather than waiting for you to take your turn, they immediately take another THREE Mad Gab cards from the pack (putting the previous three onto the discard pile) and have a second turn. After their second turn play reverts to you as normal. The only exception to this is if the opposing team land on a Miss A Turn oval after their first turn. If this happens play reverts to you.

If you land on a blank oval simply play your next turn as normal.

    WINNING

The first team to land on or pass the FINISH oval is the winner.

ESL Games: Hink Pink – Word Game

The Game: You might know this word game by a whole bunch of other names like Hank Pank, Brain Train, Stinky Pinky, or Wordy Gurdy. The game is made up of a phrase that conveys an adjective paired with a rhyming noun (e.g. a funny bunny, or a big wig). Some people like to use the one-syllable word name for one syllable answers, and the two-syllable names for two syllable answers. But the idea of the game is the same.

Research Says: It is a fun way to practice language skills. The game helps with word recall and with understanding word meaning by playing with words. Hink Pink is a highly motivating game because it is so fun. It breaks a common perception that all learning should be serious in nature and that if “…one is having fun and there is hilarity and laughter, then it is not really learning” (Lee Su Kim, Creative Games for the Language Class ).

The object of Hink Pink is to have students think of words that match given definitions. The game is played in a whole class setting with individuals or students in small groups who try to guess the adjective and noun that rhyme with the given clue. You can play with single- or double-syllable words based on the language level of your students. The clues can be presented visually or orally.

    • Word cards
    • Dictionary and thesaurus for each student or group of students
    1. Students are given a word card to complete. They answer any number of Hink Pinks or complete the entire card.
    2. Students work individually or in groups to find the rhymes.
    3. Students write the correct answers in the blanks under the clues.
    1. From the given list (or some of your own), select 24 Hink Pinks to write in the squares.
    2. Prepare one card and make a photocopy for each student/group of students.
    3. Allow a set amount of time to complete.
    4. Share and discuss answers.
    1. The clues can be read orally for the class to guess, or there can be teams of students who compete against each other in trying to solve the Hink Pinks.
    2. You can also play with a word card (much like a Bingo card) that needs to be filled with the correct answers so students can work at their own speed. In this variation, the clues do not need to be read aloud. Students complete the work independently by reading the clues and writing the suggested rhyming answer on their cards.
    3. Students can try to get so many correct answers in a given time frame or complete the chart in some way (four corners, five in a row, etc.)
    4. Students can write their own Hink Pinks to use or trade them with other students.
    5. Students can research Hink Pinks to study additional adjectives that rhyme with nouns and why these are a play on words.
    6. Students can be assigned a Hink Pink to present to the class and explain its meaning.
    7. Instead of thinking of the correct answer, students match the correct answer to the given clues.

Some Hink Pinks to Get You Started

    • A bashful insect: Shy fly
    • A tiny insect: Wee bee
    • A blackbird that doesn’t fly fast: Slow crow

How to Lower Your Ping and Improve Online Gaming – Tech Advisor #how #to #lower #ping,desktop-pc,game,internet,network-wifi,digital-home

    How to lower your ping

If you suffer lag in online games, you need to check your ping. Here we explain how to lower ping times, reduce latency and improve online gameplay.

Expert tips to reduce your ping and improve online games

If you’re having problems with lag in online games – other players appearing, disappearing and jumping around – it could be that your ping is too high. Ping is a measure of your connection speed or, more specifically, the latency of the connection.

Here we’ll explain ping in more depth, including how to measure it and how to lower your ping and improve lag in online games.

    What is ping?

Many people assume that a fast, responsive internet connection relies solely on a good download and upload speed, but there s more to it than that. There’s also ping, which is essentially a reaction time. If you have a ping of 98ms (milliseconds) that’s the time it has taken for your computer to respond to a request by another computer.

Clearly, you want as low a ping time as possible. Many online games show your ping time along with the ping of other players or servers. If your ping is around 1000 (or more), you will almost certainly have problems playing the game due to the delay.

Ping doesn’t just affect games, but a large ping time is very noticeable when timing is crucial. That’s why a low ping is so important in games, especially where your position (think first-person shooters or racing games) is everything.

    How to measure ping speed

You can test the latency of your internet connection by using Speedtest.net. the most popular online speed test. (Fun fact: Speedtest was even featured in one of the Iron Man films.) Anything below a ping of 20ms is considered to be great, while anything over 150ms could result in noticeable lag.

You might have the fasest gaming PC. but with a slow ping your actions will take a lot longer to perform than that of your online peers, giving you a disadvantage in the online arena.

    How to reduce ping

There s no single way to reduce your ping, but instead a number of possible solutions it s a trial and error process. The first, and simplest, solution is to close all other programs and windows on your computer, making sure that there are no active downloads running in the background that might be affecting the ping.

Another issue may be that someone else in your house is running a bandwidth hungry service, like streaming Netflix in full HD or playing online games. The more devices that you have connected and actively using the internet connection, the higher ping you ll have.

If you re still getting a high ping, try and move your laptop nearer your router or, better still, connect your computer directly to your router using an Ethernet cable or powerline adapters. This overcomes any potential issues that you may be having with Wi-Fi and poor signal strength, which may affect the latency of your internet connection.

It s also worth checking the wires between your router and the wall box, making sure that they re all plugged in fully we ve had a few experiences with cable connections becoming loose over time, and tightening them has helped the problem.

If that doesn t work, you ll have to try the oldest trick in the book: turn your router off and turn it back on again. Specifically, unplug the power cable from your router and wait around a minute before plugging it back in again. If your setup comprises of a separate router and modem, make sure you turn both off and not just the router.

The next step would be to consider buying a new router. If you’re just using the default one supplied by your internet service provider, you’re probably not making the most of your connection. Upgrading to a better router might help you get improved connection speeds, and potentially improve your Wi-Fi coverage too.

If you ve followed all the above steps and you still have a bad ping, the only thing left to do is call your internet service provider. Your ISP will usually be able to detect and fix any potential issues remotely and should improve speeds and if there are no faults with your connection, maybe it s time that you thought about switching to another provider. Or moving house.

iAssociate 2: A Truly Unique Word Game for the iPhone

iAssociate 2 for the iPhone ($3.99) is a truly unique word game.

Try Playing Family Feud in the Classroom: A Fun Inter-Class Game #math #questions #with #answers

The 10 Best Undergraduate Video Game Design Schools

Gaming enthusiasts, take note — the University of Southern California has been named the Princeton Review and GamePro Media ‘s best school for video game design at the undergraduate and graduate level in 2011.

In 2010 and 2011, the Princeton Review questioned officials at 150 institutions that offer game design programs on their schools’ academics, faculty credentials, facilities, infrastructure and post-grad employment placements. The top ten undergraduate and graduate schools were then selected based on these responses, as well as on the Princeton Review’s own data on scholarships, financial aid and career opportunities at the schools under consideration.

The 20 best schools — as well as five honorable mentions in each category — will be featured in GamePro ‘s upcoming April edition, to be released on March 8. The article — currently available online — offers information on each school and gives advice on how to be accepted into top graduate programs.

Below, check out the top ten undergraduate video game design programs. Princeton Review and GamePro have more info, plus the honorable mentions.

DIY Carnival Game Idea – Leap Frog!

Make This DIY Leap Frog Game:

A great carnival-style game for kids – what child doesn’t want to take a rubber mallet and hit something and make a toy fly through the air.

The key to making this game is to make sure that there are two moving pieces to make sure the FROG goes forward instead of straight up in the air or back to the player.

The longer piece of wood (the one the player hits) is acting like a See-Saw.

There are dozens of ways to construct this, but we are showing you one way to make this work!

The smaller plank of 2 x 4 wood will overlap the larger piece and be attached to the game with a sturdy hinge.

    Game Setup:

Before the carnival, set up a “pond” with your fake lily pad and a pretend alligator (optional).

How to Play the Leap Frog Game:

Players are given 3 stuffed animal frogs to try to land on as many “Lily pads” as possible.

Every time a frog lands on a Lily pad it counts as a point. Every time a frog lands on the alligator it subtracts a point. Children get a carnival prize based on how many total points they have after all their bean bag frogs have “leaped.”

    Additional Hints Tips:

Note:Some schools in our area uses some handmade “frog launchers” that children hit with a light-weight mallet to make the frogs leap through the air to try to land on a lily pad.

Have a handy wood worker help with a design but always design with the safety of children first – have an adult oversee the rubber mallot or something that could be hit with such force the flying frog could hurt a young child.

The photo above was constructed for our school carnival. The kids had a ball hitting the mallet to make the frog jump to the lilly pad.

    Mad Gab Game Rules #answers #to #homework
