Justanswer – Just Answer Treats its Experts Like *** Review 227060 Sep

#just an answer

Justanswer – Unauthorized drafts I asked and recieved a question about towing a trailer with my car. They were suppose to make one draft but they continued to draft my account every month. I wa.

Justanswer – Charged my credit card twice I contacted JustAnswer regarding a simple question about my dog. We were on holidays and the issue was not serious enough to take the dog to the vet. I reciev.

Justanswer – Just Answer Treats its Experts Like ***

I “work” as an Expert at Just Answer even though they say they are not “. an employer” and “. no employer employee relationship is implied by this Agreement the one every HAS TO agree to in order to be “employed” there and Experts are simply users of this site just like clients.” However, my argument is Just Answer takes money from clients, takes a large) cut, then passes the money on to me (an Expert). Doesn t that sound like an EMPLOYEE to you?

Also, should a client be so generous as to leave a Bonus, Just Answer takes a cut of that Bonus, too. Now a Bonus is something like a tip, or a thank-you for excellent service. No excellent service, no bonus. But doesn t “BONUS” sound an awful lot like a “TIP”? If that is the case, I think it unfair that Just Answer should take a cut of my tips. Call a horse a donkey, but it still walks.

Therefore, if Just Answer is in fact an Employer it is acting outside the law and the Labor Code by stealing tips from its employees.

Just my biggest gripe. Oh. And it s against the rules, for which suspension of my account or access to Just Answer for an indefinite period is the penalty, for expressing myself like this in a public forum.

And, as required by Just Answer: “Just Answer has not reviewed these remarks and makes no warranty or claim of fitness of merchantability concerning same”.

This review is a subjective opinion of a user.

I used to make a lot of money off justanswers, but then they changed the format, and now it sucks. Also, I just checked today, and the homework section has 1 question, which is usually some weird computer programming section. Can’t sustain your business model if you have no customers.
I think the mechanics section and other things in justanswer might do better, but the homework and writing help has dropped off considerably.

I actually do work under computers for Just Answer and have been extremely satisfied with the results, just for the month of September I made enough to by a used transmission for my car that unfortunately went out on me. Yeah they take a cut. thats business, they’re a broke/median type. get over it people.

Does it matter? Sep 13, 2012 #541653

My first month as a new expert I earned $500 and they sent me an email that one of my categories was being investigated for fraudulent activity. Therefore I would get paid for NONE of my categories. So I took to only answering one question per day, just to barely stay active. Now I just got another fraud notice for a different category. They should have just told me that they never had any intention of paying me ever, and I would not have wasted my time feeding their content farm.

1airplanejoe to Does it matter? Feb 17, 2013 #610286

Hey does it matter I have a question for you. what could you have done wrong. I used to be a customer of ja but they started doing *** stuff to customers. like me. I paid very good.

Scott L Mar 05, 2012 #442674

The above response is absolute nonsense and false. You have to have a verified current license to become an expert in any medical field. Anyone can try to sign up as a expert but that is only the first step. No proof of professional license, no access to the site.

I have been on Just Answer for a year now.
They deliberately have vague,contradictory
fine print that makes no sense even among the experts.Customers furious about being billed
for subscriptions and double billed.
Every rating is a billing, some think
they are punishing by rating badly 2-3 times
a question, however Just Answer simply bills
them $30 or whatever they agreed to for each
volt, they do not pay the expert unless the
customer accepts,and 40% never pay,the experts
with 95% ratings and above are the worst trolls,
they search the archives and use old answers
rephrased, The top rated experts are trolls
who make false accounts to make bad ratings
and manipulate the ratings, then they buy
$60 a month subscriptions and ask themselves
questions and rate themselves excellent 300
times over a year, this is *** they get 95%
rating, with a free warranty they have many who
never acceptand think they get refunds but only
if they spend hoursfor $30, most write it off
and many do not look at their credit card bill
and are billed for a year! The old trolls abuse
the new experts by peer reviewing them over
anythingor nothing, there is rampant scripting,
money laundering and fraud, they treat the experts
like *** are rude and do not give a *** about
anything but getting money, they. place ads to trick
customers into thinking we are factory mechanics
saying 6 Toyota mechanics online,
many ask, how did I get here!lol!
It is a complete fraud, experts exist in
fear of shill accounts made to damage the
ratings and boot any experts who have skills
as the trolls are scared of educated experts,
making sure through treachery the ratings are
skewed. many bad answers and the top rated experts
are really the worst, they have archived accepted
answers and look up the question and rephrase it
and act as if they have this knack but its all fake,
may burnt motors they do not even warn anyone about
power they care less. Show more

Just Answer is nothing more than a scam to screw people out of there money! Just answer has retained tens of thousands of dollars in customer deposits. These deposits are for question not answered or accepted. Your money is not returned unless you threaten them with legal action! They claim they have experts? Anyone can be an expert. I signed up using my dogs name and within a week I could have answered medical questions. Woof!!

Florida governor signs law shielding patients from surprise medical bills

Florida governor signs law shielding patients from surprise medical bills

The movement to protect consumers from surprise medical bills won a major victory Thursday when Florida Republican Gov. Rick Scott signed a bipartisan bill that will exempt patients from having to pay balance bills from out-of-network providers in certain situations.

The new law will apply to patients who go to a healthcare facility in their health plan network and inadvertently receive services from a non-network provider. Patients would only be responsible for paying their usual in-network cost-sharing.

Plans and non-participating providers would have to work out payment for those services through a state-arranged, voluntary dispute resolution process, with a penalty assessed to the party that refused to accept an offer that was close to the final arbitration order. The negotiation would be based on the usual and customary rate for the particular geographic area. Disputes could be taken to court. The bill would only apply to PPO-type plans. since Florida already bars balance-billing patients in HMOs.

    Consumer groups were delighted.

We commend Gov. Scott for signing HB 221 to protect Floridians from unfair medical bills, said Laura Brennaman, policy director for the Florida Community Health Action Information Network. With the law signed today, consumers who are forced through no fault of their own to receive care from an out-of-network physician will be protected from surprise balance bills. She said the bill simply takes consumers out of the dispute resolution.

On Thursday, Scott also signed accompanying legislation to increase price transparency in Florida hospitals. This legislation is an important first step as we continue to address the high costs hospitals pass on to patients and their families, Scott said in a written statement. The Republican governor launched his transparency initiative after doing battle last year with Florida hospitals over Medicaid expansion, which hospitals favored and he opposed.

Numerous consumers told Florida officials about situations where they had to pay hundreds or thousands of dollars in balance bills when they had not known they were being treated by out-of-network providers. Florida Insurance Consumer Advocate Sha’Ron James cited examples including a Boca Raton woman who had to pay more than $80,000 to an out-of-network surgeon at an in-network hospital.

New York state implemented a similar, though mandatory, dispute resolution system last spring, requiring insurers and providers to resolve out-of-network payment disputes while holding patients harmless.

The Florida legislation had the backing of the Florida Medical Association and the Florida Association of Health Plans, while the Florida Hospital Association said it agreed with the general direction of the bill. Anesthesiology and radiology groups opposed it.

The health plan association said surprise out-of-network bills are the No. 1 consumer healthcare complaint. This is the most comprehensive consumer protection legislation in the country on (this issue), and our association is proud to support it, Audrey Brown, the association’s CEO, said last week. The stakeholders came together and agreed to remove patients from the middle of disputes between insurers and providers.

Meanwhile, in California, a broad coalition of payers, unions, consumer advocates and some providers are backing a similar bipartisan bill that nearly passed the Legislature late last year and now is being considered in amended form.

The bill would establish a binding independent dispute resolution process for insurers and providers in cases where patients received care from out-of-network providers at in-network facilities. Patients would only have to pay their normal in-network cost-sharing, and those payments, unlike now, would apply to their plan’s out-of-pocket yearly limits. The proposed system would apply only to non-emergency care, since emergency physicians already are barred from balance-billing patients under a prior state Supreme Court ruling.

But the California Medical Association strongly opposes the bill, arguing that it would hinder consumers’ ability to use their plans’ out-of-network benefits and give plans too much negotiating leverage over physicians.

Legislative and regulatory efforts to address surprise out-of-network medical bills have gained momentum around the country over the past two years. Legislators and insurance officials in Georgia, Hawaii, Missouri, New Jersey and Pennsylvania are studying the issue or considering legislation. It’s not a red or blue issue. It’s really bipartisan, said Betsy Imholz, special projects director at Consumers Union. Every legislator and staffer understands it and often has been a victim of it.

    Forensic Science Degrees #forensic #nursing #programs #in #florida

    Forensic Science Degrees

Forensic science is the discipline in which professionals use scientific means to analyze physical crime evidence. This evidence is then presented in court in order to help determine the innocence or guilt of a specific suspect. In order to determine the relevance of any evidence forensic scientists use a number of scientific and mathematical techniques. Forensic scientists must also possess a high level of reasoning skills in order to put many different elements together to come up with one single conclusive idea that will stand as successful evidence in the court of law. There are a variety of locations in which forensic scientists can find work at local, state, and government level. These locations include laboratories, law enforcement agencies, and autopsy examination centers.

    Forensic Science Associate Degrees

Individuals can earn their associate degree in forensic science in just two years by completing on average 60 credit hours. Students will be required to complete both general and major-specific education requirements. Major-specific courses include Microbiology, Photography in the Forensic Sciences, Forensic Psychology, Basic Accident Investigation, and Physical Identifiers. Upon completing their program some graduates will be eligible for entry-level positions within the industry but most will go on to continue their education in a bachelor s program. In order to be admitted to an associate degree program applicants will have to have a high school diploma or GED. Some colleges will also require that their applicant participate in a test to determine what level of general education courses the individual will be placed in. Tuition for this level of program averages between $6,300 and $17,400.

    Forensic Science Bachelor s Degrees

Students participating in a bachelor s degree program can finish their studies in four years with an average of 120 semester credit hours of work. Programs are available specifically in forensic science, as well as forensic biology or chemistry, or criminal justice with a forensic science emphasis. Either of these programs would be appropriate for someone looking to make their career in forensic science, depending on what their specific career interest is. The first half of the program will typically be dedicated to general education courses while the second half will focus on courses specific to forensic science. Key core courses include Criminal Procedure and Evidence, Fingerprint Analysis, Crime Scene Investigation, Crime Victim Studies, Constitutional Issues in Criminal Procedures, and Theories of Crime Causation. Many programs will also offer internships for students who are interested in applying what they have learned to real-world scenarios before they graduate. After students have graduated they will be eligible to go on to hold entry-level positions within the field of forensic science, such as that of forensic science technician, forensic pathologist, or crime scene investigator. Applicants for this degree level must have a high school diploma or GED. Competitive programs will require that applicants have at least a 2.5 high school GPA. Applicants who have college experience will need to submit their college transcripts for review. Students can expect to pay an average annual tuition set between $8,520 and $21,000.

    Forensic Science Master s Degrees

By seeking a master s degree in forensic science individuals can prepare for advanced positions within the forensic science industry. Graduates can find work in crime labs, the police department, governmental agencies like the Drug Enforcement Administration, medical examiner s offices, hospital labs, and pharmaceutical companies. Work in education, such as that of a high school teacher, is also available to master s degree holders, but additional training or certification may be needed. Students can complete their master s program is two years, which typically consists of 32 to 40 credit hours. Common course subjects include drug analysis, toxicology, biological evidence, criminalistics, DNA analysis, blood splatter patterns, and trace evidence. Individuals who are interested in earning their master s degree must have a bachelor s degree in a science-related field. Many programs will require that applicants have an undergraduate average GPA of at least 3.0. Other application requirements typically include GRE tests scores, a writing sample, and letters of recommendation from professional or educational references. Total cost of education for this level of program averages around $20,000.

    Forensic Science Doctoral Degrees

Earning a PhD is an option for forensic science professionals who wish to seek promotion to advanced leadership positions, teach at the college level, or go into research. A doctorate degree in forensic science can typically be completed through four to five years of study. The first half of the program focuses on core coursework requirements, while the last half focuses on dissertation research. Core coursework requirements include Forensic Instrumental Analysis, Controlled Substance Analysis, Pattern and Physical Evidence Concepts, Law and Forensic Sciences, Advanced Forensics, Forensic Laboratory Management, and Research Design in Forensic Science. Many programs will require that students maintain a minimum 3.0 GPA throughout the entirety of their studies. Admission requirements include an undergraduate degree in a similar field of study with a GPA of at least 3.0. Official GRE scores, a personal statement, three letters of recommendation, and a professional resume are also usually required. The tuition for a doctorate degree will vary on school of attendance as well as program structure and length. A year of graduate study at a college or university for an individual who is a non-resident of that school s home state can cost up to $20,000 a year or more. It should also be noted that PhD programs in forensic science are virtually always offered in a face-to-face format as opposed to an online one.

The Forensic Science Education Programs Accreditation Commission (FEPAC) is the preeminent main body for forensic science educational programs. FEPAC conducts reviews on post-secondary programs at the bachelor s and master s level to ensure that all students involved are receiving an education that will aid in the success of their post-college careers. To ensure such quality of education is taking place the organization takes different elements into consideration such as faculty, classroom structure, testing procedures, and grading procedures. Once the program has successfully met all minimum standards FEPAC will award accreditation. All programs currently accredited by the FEPAC can be found directly on their website.

Although certification is not a legal requirement it can aid individuals in gaining promotions and pay advancements within the industry, as it shows an advanced level of knowledge and dedication to a particular specialty. There are several different organizations related to the field of forensic science through in which professionals can seek certification, including The International Association for Identification (IAI), The American Board of Criminalistics (ABC), and The American Board of Forensic Document Examiners (ABFDE). The requirements to become certified vary by organization but the key things to consider are level of education, length of work experience, and professional references.

    Career Specialties

The field of forensic science is fairly broad and thus there are many different areas in which professionals can specialize. For instance, one may choose a career in forensic anthropology, where they will specialize in identifying and analyzing human remains. Criminalists are the main professionals who work at crime scenes collecting and sorting evidence. Forensic pathologists spend most of their time in the lab, using various methods to examine evidence like DNA and fingerprints. Pathologists might specialize even further in studying certain types of evidence, like ballistics.
