How we’re able to offer LASIK at discounted prices

if you’ve done any price comparison research, you’ve seen that most doctors charge more than we do. The reason is most have to lease their surgical equipment-and pay a per use charge and their per use as well. To cover their leasing and per use charge they have to charge their patients more. On top of that, most don’t own own their facilities, so they have high lease payments to cover.

There are three primary reasons we can charge so much less for our procedures-and still make money too.

    1. We own our own state-of-art LASIK equipment.

2.We own our own facility -so we are not at the mercy of landlords and high medical facility rents.

    3. BEST LASIK Laser Eye Center is an independent medical practice. Unlike many others, we are not owned or managed by public companies or an investment group.

These reasons enable us to keep overhead down and pass on the savings to our patients without ever sacrificing the quality of our care.

Egyptian study confirms autism is caused by mercury in vaccines

Ever heard of metabolic brain disease? A team of nine scientists from top Egyptian medical schools and universities may have just confirmed that one in every 50 American children has it, and its primary cause could be mercury in vaccines .

How was this determined? Exposure to mercury can be measured by analyzing children s urinary porphyrins – excreted organic compounds that act as biomarkers for mercury toxicity. Not only does the presence of mercury in urine and blood expose the long-known link between metabolic brain disease (autism) and vaccines, but the severity of autism (and its broad array of symptoms) is directly correlated with the levels of exposure to this known neurotoxin. Yes, you read that correctly.

To put the nails in the coffin for any doubters or skeptics, of the 100 children studied. the 40 with autism spectrum disorder (ASD) had significantly higher mercury levels than their non-autistic siblings and the other healthy children in the study. In addition, the children with the most severe versions of metabolic brain disease revealed the highest levels of mercury exposure. For years and years, natural health enthusiasts have been screaming about the dangers of vaccines and mercury-loaded dental fillings, and now the truth comes out – and scientifically proven at that.

Disordered urinary porphyrin metabolism – the smoking gun of the autism–mercury connection

Six American studies have linked autism to mercury exposure by analyzing disordered porphyrin metabolism in autistic kids, but the mass media has been prohibited from publishing them or even discussing them at all because their sponsors are Big Pharma conglomerates. That is why you never hear anything about them on television, in newspapers or on mainstream media websites.

Another study published this past June was carried out by an international team of scientists who measured pro-inflammatory neuro peptides that indicate the presence of mercury in blood. The results showed a positive linear relationship between mercury levels and the severity of autism symptoms.

The previously mentioned study done by the scientists from Egyptian medical schools included analyzing the mothers of autistic children who had multiple dental silver amalgams (mercury-loaded fillings), which the scientists said most likely contributed to the children s body levels of mercury. You could call these the silver bullets from the smoking gun.

Special note: Ethyl mercury in thimerosal (used for vaccines, especially flu shots) is at least 50 times as toxic to human tissue as the methylmercury in amalgams and fish, and can prove to be twice as persistent in the brain. When mercury is injected into the blood and muscle tissue, it bypasses normal protective human filters, such as the lungs, digestive organs and the skin. This is also how mercury can cross the blood/brain barrier.

It s not just mercury causing metabolic brain disease, but also lead and aluminum

In 2015, a paper published in Behavioral Neurology by a group of researchers from the National Institute of Standards revealed results of a study of 100 autistic children with significantly high levels of mercury, lead and aluminum that may have resulted from environmental exposure. Aluminum is often also found in vaccines, and lead has been revealed to be in most U.S. tap water. sometimes at alarming levels (think of Flint, Michigan, here).

Detoxification by chelating agents could play a major role in improving the lives and mental and social capacities of children afflicted with metabolic brain disease. Remember, autism is a neurodevelopmental disorder that appears during infancy or childhood (not at birth), with a broad array of communication and learning impairments, from mild to moderate to severe. It is rarely, if ever, inherited, but rather brought on by an overload of neurotoxins either consumed, injected or ingested from environmental factors, or all of the above.

Realize the CDC has formally admitted to covering up the autism-mercury-vaccine link

Mercury is the most toxic non-radioactive element on earth and the second most poisonous element known to mankind, second only to uranium, yet, for some reason, it’s still used in vaccines as a preservative, even when there are several other options that are not toxic that would do the same job. It is scientific fact that human brain neurons permanently disintegrate in the presence of mercury within one hour of exposure. Thimerosal is a mercury containing preservative (about 50 percent mercury), and the World Health Organization warned about its use in vaccines way back in 1990.

Plus, mercury is a cumulative poison. meaning the body has difficulty removing it and it accumulates significantly over time. Some infants receive more mercury in one day than the WHO recommends as a maximum for adults for three months worth of exposure. One scientific fact most Americans do not know is that aluminum (listed as aluminum phosphate) in vaccines greatly increases the toxicity of mercury (listed as thimerosal), therefore caution about minimum mercury tolerance is severely underestimated.

Does the CDC mix vaccines with aluminum and mercury in combination? Absolutely. The Diptheria and Tetanus “toxoid” inoculations have “trace” amounts of mercury combined in the same vaccine with aluminum. What’s in the whooping cough vaccine? Aluminum phosphate and formaldehyde. Mix that aluminum phosphate with a flu shot laced with mercury and measure the level (potency) of mercury and see what that does to the central nervous system and the brain. Remember, aluminum makes the vaccine more “powerful.”

Since 2002, the CDC has been covering up the link between autism and the MMR vaccine. Dr. William W. Thompson. a senior scientist and epidemiologist at the US Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (Immunization Safety Branch) confessed to the vaccine-autism connection in a confession letter (an email Dr. Thompson wrote to officials at CDC via his attorneys). After being silent about the cover-up for over a decade, Dr. Thompson said he could no longer stand to look at parents whose children were suffering from autism and keep silent about the whole conspiracy, so he blew the whistle.

    Autoimmune conditions

Autoimmune problems is a scenario whereby the body seems to develop an allergy to its own tissue and attacks it! In other words, it perceives its own normal tissues as being foreign and produces antibodies against them. The type and severity of the symptoms varies considerably depending on which tissue is being attacked. However, chronic fatigue and unrefreshing sleep are present in all autoimmune disease to some degree.

Autoimmune disorders are known as a family of diseases and include; rheumatoid arthritis, lupus, scleroderma, Sjogren s syndrome, multiple sclerosis, autoimmune liver disease and many others. There are 81 different autoimmune disorders.

Tissues that may be attacked in autoimmune conditions include:

    • Hair follicles (causing loss of hair)
    • Thyroid gland (causing hyper or hypo thyroidism) Hashimoto s disease and Graves disease of the thyroid (see Thyroid Disease),
    • Adrenal gland (Addison’s disease)
    • The blood vessels anywhere in the body, or in the brain (vasculitis)
    • The joints causing arthritis (eg: see Rheumatoid Arthritis),
    • The skin, causing psoriasis
    • Certain blood components such as platelets (ITP) and red blood cells.

Another autoimmune condition is Polyarteritis Nodosa in which the arteries become inflamed. Then there are conditions where the skin or muscles become inflamed and often the joints can also be involved.

Scleroderma is a rather rare condition that makes the skin shiny, thick and tight in appearance. It may also attack the esophagus so that swallowing food becomes difficult.

Hashimoto’s Disease is a type of thyroid disease in which antibodies attack the thyroid gland. The gland eventually becomes destroyed and the patient suffers with a deficiency of thyroid hormone. (see Thyroid disease)

Systemic Lupus Erythematosus (SLE) is an autoimmune disorder affecting both sexes but women are more commonly affected than men, the ratio being 90% women to only 10% men. Women with SLE are mostly in their early child bearing years. (see Lupus).

The basic component of all connective tissue is collagen. Because autoimmune problems often attack collagen, these diseases are also known as collagen diseases or connective tissue diseases.

Those who suffer with autoimmune disorders will sometimes feel quite good and at other times quite poorly. They have quite a cyclic effect. Sufferers can go for months feeling well and then have a relapse.

    What causes autoimmune conditions?

In all cases of autoimmune disease the immune system has become very unbalanced and is overloaded.

The liver is usually implicated in autoimmune conditions. If the liver detox pathways are overloaded, this causes the immune system to become hyperstimulated. The hyperstimulated immune system produces excessive inflammatory chemicals and antibodies, which attack the body’s own tissues/cells (this is an autoimmune reaction). It is vital to improve the liver function to take a load off the immune system and calm it down. To help take the load off the immune system, follow. This offers the best chance of long term improvement.

    General Recommendations

    • Follow the Liver Cleansing Diet
    • Avoid all dairy products and gluten. Gluten is found in wheat, rye, oats, spelt, kamut and barley. Some people with autoimmune disease also need to avoid all grains and legumes.
    • Avoid industrial seed oils high in omega 6 fats such as cottonseed oil, soybean, canola, grapeseed, rice bran, sunflower, safflower and corn oils.
    • Never use artificial sweeteners see www.dorway.com for more information.
    • If you are menopausal and are taking oral synthetic hormone replacement, it would be much safer for you to use a more natural form of HRT that is not processed through the liver, such as a natural hormonal cream or troche.

    Raw Juicing

Raw vegetable juices are essential for supporting the immune system. See recipes such as Immune Dysfunction Juice found on page 103 of. The Raw Juices book is set out in an A – Z format of different health conditions and symptoms with an appropriate juice recipe for each.

It is very important with this type of condition to have a large glass of fresh raw vegetable juice every day twice a day if possible. If you do not own one invest in a vegetable juicer. Fresh vegetables have powerful healing benefits.

8 Steps to a Healthy Immune System

Strengthening the immune function reduces susceptibility to infection, suppresses cancer growth and slows down the aging process. Here are nine easy steps to achieve that aim.

    1. Avoid unnecessary antibiotics and drugs such as painkillers and anti-inflammatory drugs.
    2. Avoid excessive electromagnetic fields by minimizing the use of cellular mobile phones, electric blankets turned on during sleep, microwave ovens, unnecessary x-rays and do not live near major power lines or large power stations.
    3. Drink around 8 glasses of water daily to increase elimination of toxic body chemicals. For drinking purposes use purified water or boil your water and filter it.
    4. Minimize prolonged stress by planning your life and get proper advice and take your time to think things through. Avoid impulsive behavior and decisions. Remember that your health is far more important than anything else. Many people become so stressed about money or relationship problems that they weaken their immune systems to the point that they develop cancer or autoimmune problems.
    5. Practice good hygiene to reduce your chances of bacterial and viral infections. In this day and age, safe sex is a must, so avoid promiscuity and use condoms if not in a long term stable and honest relationship. Otherwise you may be unlucky and catch a sexually transmitted disease such as AIDS, syphilis, chlamydia, herpes, human papilloma virus or gonorrhoea. These infections may destroy your immune system (in the case of AIDS), increase your risk of some cancers or produce chronic health problems. Wash your hands regularly and avoid eating raw meats or contacting animal feces through which you may acquire serious infections.
    6. Improve your diet by increasing the amount of raw fruits and vegetables to 40 percent of your diet. Make yourself raw fruit and vegetable juices every day with a juice extracting machine and drink two to three glasses daily. Good combinations are carrot, beet, celery, capsicum, apple and spinach. Raw foods and juices will have a powerful boosting effect upon your immune system because they contain living enzymes, bioflavonoids, chlorophyll, carotenoids and natural antibiotics. No vitamin pill can give you such a powerful immune boosting cocktail as raw foods and juices. Avoid consuming foods that are not fresh such as preserved packaged foods or delicatessen meats (eg salami, smoked meats, pizza meats, frankfurts, cabanossi, fritz etc) as these may contain dangerous bacteria that can cause food poisoning. Try to get organically grown fruits and vegetables and free range eggs and grass fed meat to minimize exposure to insecticides and antibiotics.
    7. Avoid toxic chemicals in the home such as cleaning agents containing solvents and glycol ethers, and pesticide sprays.
    8. Avoid things to which you are allergic. Many people with asthma, respiratory infections, excessive mucus congestion, cystitis or irritable bowel syndrome have severe allergies. The most common ones are dairy products, wheat, corn, soy and artificial sweeteners, flavorings and colorings. If you continue to expose yourself to things that you are allergic to, you will make your immune system work overtime; it will eventually become unable to control excessive inflammation.

Supplements to support healthy immune function:

    or

Take 1 teaspoon twice daily in water or raw juice or 2 capsules twice daily. A liver tonic containing St Mary s Thistle and Taurine is advised to assist with autoimmune liver diseases such as autoimmune hepatitis, sclerosing cholangitis, primary biliary cirrhosis or connective tissue diseases.

Take 1 to 3 capsules daily. N-acetyl cysteine helps to support your liver s production of the powerful antioxidant glutathione. Glutathione helps to reduce inflammation in the body.

Take 1 capsule twice daily with meals. Berberine helps to reduce intestinal permeability and it has significant antimicrobial activity against a range of gut pathogens. It helps to improve dysbiosis and small intestinal bacterial overgrowth.

Take 1/2 teaspoon twice daily in juice or water – MSM (an organic sulfur) is helpful in arthritis and autoimmune problems and is recommended for connective tissue conditions, as sulfur forms the basis of collagen.

Take 1 capsule daily. Selenium will help to exert an anti inflammatory effect and assist with inflammatory and autoimmune problems.

    or

Take 2 tablets twice daily or 1 teaspoon daily Magnesium is an important mineral which assists with muscle pain and is known as the great relaxer . It can help you achieve a deep and restorative sleep.

Take 1 teaspoon twice daily. Glutamine helps to heal and seal the intestinal lining, helping to repair leaky gut syndrome. This reduces the amount of toxic wastes and bacteria entering the bloodstream through the intestinal lining. Colostrum supports the immune cells living in the intestines.

    Asthma and Secondhand Smoke

    What Is Asthma?

Asthma is a chronic disease that affects the airways of the lungs. During an asthma attack, airways (tubes that carry air to your lungs) become swollen, making it hard to breathe. 1, 2 As the walls of the airways swell, they narrow, and less air gets in and out of the lungs. Cells in the airways can make more mucus (a sticky, thick liquid) than usual, which can make breathing even harder. 2

Symptoms of an asthma attack include: 1

    • Coughing
    • Shortness of breath or trouble breathing
    • Wheezing
    • Tightness or pain in the chest

Asthma attacks can be mild, moderate, or serious and even life threatening. 1

How Is Smoking Related to Asthma?

If you have asthma, an asthma attack can occur when something irritates your airways and triggers an attack. Your triggers might be different from other people s triggers. 3

Tobacco smoke is one of the most common asthma triggers. Tobacco smoke including secondhand smoke is unhealthy for everyone, especially people with asthma. 3 Secondhand smoke is a mixture of gases and fine particles that includes: 4

    • Smoke from a burning cigarette, cigar, or pipe tip
    • Smoke that has been exhaled (breathed out) by someone who smokes

Secondhand smoke contains more than 7,000 chemicals, including hundreds that are toxic and about 70 that can cause cancer. 5

If you have asthma, it s important that you avoid exposure to secondhand smoke. 3

If you are among the 21% of U.S. adults who have asthma and smoke, quit smoking. 6

How Can Asthma Attacks Be Prevented?

If you or a family member has asthma, you can manage it with the help of your health care provider (for example, by taking your medicines exactly as your doctor tells you) and by avoiding triggers. Staying far away from tobacco smoke is one important way to avoid asthma attacks. Some other helpful tips are:

    • Do not smoke or allow others to smoke in your home or car. Opening a window does not protect you from smoke. 5
    • If your state still allows smoking in public areas, look for restaurants and other places that do not allow smoking. No-smoking sections in the same restaurant with smoking sections do not protect adequately from secondhand smoke 5 even if there is a filter or ventilation system. 7
    • Make sure your children s day care centers and schools are tobacco-free. For schools, a tobacco-free campus policy means no tobacco use or advertising on school property is allowed by anyone at any time. This includes off-campus school events. 5
    • Teach children to stay away from secondhand smoke. Be a good role model by not smoking. 5

    How Is Asthma Treated?

There is no cure for asthma. However, to help control your asthma and avoid attacks: 2

    • Take your medicine exactly as your doctor tells you.
    • Stay away from things that can trigger an attack.

Everyone with asthma does not take the same medicine. Some medicines can be breathed in, and some can be taken as a pill. There are two kinds of asthma medicines 2

    • Quick-relief (can help control symptoms of an asthma attack)
    • Long-term control (can help you have fewer and milder attacks, but they don t help you while you are having an asthma attack)
