The first time I was trying to get information about an old Japanese print or painting and I was referred to an “expert” in Japanese art who could not identify ANY of the symbols and NO IDEA whatsoever about the picture. I was charged for this “service” anyway and had to contact my credit card bank to dispute the charge. I “work” as an Expert at Just Answer even though they say they are not “. an employer” and “. no employer employee relationship is implied by this Agreement the one every HAS TO agree to in order to be “employed” there and Experts are simply users of this site just like clients.” However, my argument is Just Answer takes money from clients, takes a large) cut, then passes the money on to me (an Expert). Doesn t that sound like an EMPLOYEE to you?

Also, should a client be so generous as to leave a Bonus, Just Answer takes a cut of that Bonus, too. Now a Bonus is something like a tip, or a thank-you for excellent service. No excellent service, no bonus. But doesn t “BONUS” sound an awful lot like a “TIP”? If that is the case, I think it unfair that Just Answer should take a cut of my tips. Call a horse a donkey, but it still walks.

Therefore, if Just Answer is in fact an Employer it is acting outside the law and the Labor Code by stealing tips from its employees.

Just my biggest gripe. Oh. And it s against the rules, for which suspension of my account or access to Just Answer for an indefinite period is the penalty, for expressing myself like this in a public forum.

And, as required by Just Answer: “Just Answer has not reviewed these remarks and makes no warranty or claim of fitness of merchantability concerning same”.

I used to make a lot of money off justanswers, but then they changed the format, and now it sucks. Also, I just checked today, and the homework section has 1 question, which is usually some weird computer programming section. Can’t sustain your business model if you have no customers.
I think the mechanics section and other things in justanswer might do better, but the homework and writing help has dropped off considerably.

I actually do work under computers for Just Answer and have been extremely satisfied with the results, just for the month of September I made enough to by a used transmission for my car that unfortunately went out on me. Yeah they take a cut. thats business, they’re a broke/median type. get over it people.

My first month as a new expert I earned $500 and they sent me an email that one of my categories was being investigated for fraudulent activity. Therefore I would get paid for NONE of my categories. So I took to only answering one question per day, just to barely stay active. Now I just got another fraud notice for a different category. They should have just told me that they never had any intention of paying me ever, and I would not have wasted my time feeding their content farm.

The above response is absolute nonsense and false. You have to have a verified current license to become an expert in any medical field. Anyone can try to sign up as a expert but that is only the first step. No proof of professional license, no access to the site.

I have been on Just Answer for a year now.
They deliberately have vague,contradictory
fine print that makes no sense even among the experts.Customers furious about being billed
for subscriptions and double billed.
Every rating is a billing,some think

volt, they do not pay the expert unless the
customer accepts,and 40% never pay,the experts

Just Answer is nothing more than a scam to screw people out of there money! Just answer has retained tens of thousands of dollars in customer deposits. These deposits are for question not answered or accepted. Your money is not returned unless you threaten them with legal action! They claim they have experts? Anyone can be an expert. I signed up using my dogs name and within a week I could have answered medical questions. Woof!!

Weighing the Perks

When you go shopping for a credit card, there are plenty of offers designed to entice you to apply. Here’s what you need to consider. Plus check out our credit card comparison tool. which lets you take the guesswork out of choosing a cash-back credit card and find one that rewards you the most based on your actual spending.

Up-Front Bonuses
Some cards offer cash bonuses for signing up and spending a certain amount—usually from $500 to $3,000—within the first three months. A bonus may include 40,000 miles just for signing on or an extra $500 in cash back in the first year.

Teaser Rates
Many cards offer you initial, low interest rates which can be attractive to people who carry a balance. Some even carry zero-percent introductory offers. If you are tempted to apply for a card that offers such a teaser rate, read the fine print so that you know how much the rate could rise by when the introductory period is over. Otherwise, without realizing it, you could end up paying a high interest rate on any outstanding balance that you have. If you are considering such a card because you are already paying interest on a different card, find out what the balance transfer fees are before transferring the balance to a new card.

Free Airfare
Frequent flyers might be enticed by free round-trip ticket promotions by airline and bank cards. Bank cards usually let you redeem points with any airline, so you generally can get an unrestricted flight without being subject to blackout dates and limits on the number of reward seats. With cards issued by airlines, you might need to use up to 50,000 points to get an unrestricted flight on the dates you want to travel.

Waived Annual Fees
Many credit card issuers waive the annual fee in the first year. But in the following year, the fee could kick in. So consider it carefully. An annual fee may be charged when the card offers rewards, such as frequent flyer miles, hotel points or even cash back. Is it worth paying? It depends how much you travel. If you are frequent flyer and the airline you fly charges you a fee to check in luggage, you may be better off paying the annual fee and getting that perk for free.

Some airline cards that charge annual fees provide other benefits such as priority boarding. And several premium travel cards from banks and airlines offer additional benefits, such as travel insurance, trip-delay coverage, rental-car insurance, and occasionally no foreign transaction fees.

If you have poor credit, however, the annual fee won’t be waived in the first year. Since you would be considered high risk, a credit card issuer may charge you an annual fee in order to provide you with a credit card.

Secured Cards
If you have a low credit score, a secured card, which requires a security deposit, may be appealing to help you improve your credit. This may be your only option. But some cards are far better than others, and you need to be on alert for onerous fees.

Credit Cards Become More Secure

Over the past year, many credit card issuers have updated their customers’ magnetic-stripe-only card with those that have both the stripe and what’s known as an EMV chip. (EMV stands for the three companies that came up with the standard: Europay, MasterCard, and Visa.) The liability for fraudulent credit card transactions has now shifted from the credit card issuer to whichever party—the credit card issuer or the merchant—is using the least secure technology.

For consumers, the new card readers are now common. Instead of swiping your card through a card reader at the cashier (so it can read the data on the card’s magnetic stripe), you now insert it until the transaction is complete.

The card reader then communicates with the chip inside your card using cryptographic algorithms to authenticate the card. The benefit is that because the data is housed on the chip, it will be much harder for thieves to replicate than it was when it was stored on the magnetic stripe.

This is a big leap forward. For years, the U.S. had been behind most other nations in card-payment technology. Most other countries have long used chip-and-pin technology, requiring the user to insert the credit card into a reader, and then enter a personal Identification number.

Meanwhile, American cardholders were still been using a decades-old magnetic-stripe-card technology to make credit and debit purchases. The data stored on these magnetic stripes are unencrypted, easily counterfeited by skimming devices. and have cost credit card issuers—who until now usually bore the cost of the fraudulent transactions—billions of dollars annually.

The expectation is that the new chip will help reduce fraud. One thing to realize, though, is that just because your card has an embedded EMV chip doesn’t mean its necessarily using true chip-and-pin technology. Many U.S. issued credit cards instead use what is known as chip-and signature technology. So even though you will dip your EMV-ready card into a new card reader, you’ll still need to sign for purchases, instead of entering a PIN—a less secure process.

Unfortunately, even true chip-and-pin transactions can’t guard against other types of credit card fraud. According to one industry forecast, online transaction fraud is expected to double over the next three years .

Credit Card Gotchas

Reading the fine print of rewards programs before you sign up can steer you away from cards with these catches. Our credit card comparison tool lets you take the guesswork out of choosing a cash-back credit card and find one that rewards you the most based on your actual spending.

Seasonal Savings. Some cards offer cash back in rotating categories that can correspond to the season in which people generally shop for those items. But there’s a cap on how much you can earn in each category.

Spending Tiers. If you’re not a big spender, watch for terms that require you to spend a certain amount to get the advertised perks. Some cards will require you to spend $3,000 before you get a particular benefit. Others could be as low as $500.

Hidden Caps. While the cash back on many cards sounds great, there is often a cap on how much you can spend and still get the same cash back award. You may be offered 3 percent cash back on groceries say, but only for the first $1,500 of expenses. After that, it could drop to 1 percent.

Expiration Dates. Check for expiration dates on rewards, especially with travel cards, because it often takes a long time to accumulate enough points for a ticket.

Missed-Payment Penalties. Some cards deduct the points you earned in a particular month if you miss a payment. They also might charge you a reinstatement fee of $25 to get the points back. Set up account alerts for payment due dates or arrange to have your bill automatically paid out of your checking account to avoid losing your rewards.

I “work” as an Expert at Just Answer even though they say they are not “. an employer” and “. no employer employee relationship is implied by this Agreement the one every HAS TO agree to in order to be “employed” there and Experts are simply users of this site just like clients.” However, my argument is Just Answer takes money from clients, takes a large) cut, then passes the money on to me (an Expert). Doesn t that sound like an EMPLOYEE to you?

Also, should a client be so generous as to leave a Bonus, Just Answer takes a cut of that Bonus, too. Now a Bonus is something like a tip, or a thank-you for excellent service. No excellent service, no bonus. But doesn t “BONUS” sound an awful lot like a “TIP”? If that is the case, I think it unfair that Just Answer should take a cut of my tips. Call a horse a donkey, but it still walks.

Therefore, if Just Answer is in fact an Employer it is acting outside the law and the Labor Code by stealing tips from its employees.

Just my biggest gripe. Oh. And it s against the rules, for which suspension of my account or access to Just Answer for an indefinite period is the penalty, for expressing myself like this in a public forum.

And, as required by Just Answer: “Just Answer has not reviewed these remarks and makes no warranty or claim of fitness of merchantability concerning same”.

I used to make a lot of money off justanswers, but then they changed the format, and now it sucks. Also, I just checked today, and the homework section has 1 question, which is usually some weird computer programming section. Can’t sustain your business model if you have no customers.
I think the mechanics section and other things in justanswer might do better, but the homework and writing help has dropped off considerably.

I actually do work under computers for Just Answer and have been extremely satisfied with the results, just for the month of September I made enough to by a used transmission for my car that unfortunately went out on me. Yeah they take a cut. thats business, they’re a broke/median type. get over it people.

My first month as a new expert I earned $500 and they sent me an email that one of my categories was being investigated for fraudulent activity. Therefore I would get paid for NONE of my categories. So I took to only answering one question per day, just to barely stay active. Now I just got another fraud notice for a different category. They should have just told me that they never had any intention of paying me ever, and I would not have wasted my time feeding their content farm.

The above response is absolute nonsense and false. You have to have a verified current license to become an expert in any medical field. Anyone can try to sign up as a expert but that is only the first step. No proof of professional license, no access to the site.

I have been on Just Answer for a year now.
They deliberately have vague,contradictory
fine print that makes no sense even among the experts.Customers furious about being billed
for subscriptions and double billed.
Every rating is a billing,some think
they are punishing by rating badly 2-3 times
a question, however Just Answer simply bills
them $30 or whatever they agreed to for each
volt, they do not pay the expert unless the
customer accepts,and 40% never pay,the experts
with 95% ratings and above are the worst trolls,
they search the archives and use old answers
rephrased, The top rated experts are trolls
who make false accounts to make bad ratings
and manipulate the ratings, then they buy
$60 a month subscriptions and ask themselves
questions and rate themselves excellent 300
times over a year, this is *** they get 95%
rating,with a free warranty they have many who
never acceptand think they get refunds but only
if they spend hoursfor $30, most write it off
and many do not look at their credit card bill
and are billed for a year! The old trolls abuse
the new experts by peer reviewing them over
anythingor nothing, there is rampant scripting,
money laundering and fraud, they treat the experts
like *** are rude and do not give a *** about
anything but getting money,they. place ads to trick
customers into thinking we are factory mechanics
saying 6 Toyota mechanics online,
many ask, how did I get here!lol!
It is a complete fraud,experts exist in
fear of shill accounts made to damage the
ratings and boot any experts who have skills
as the trolls are scared of educated experts,
making sure through treachery the ratings are
skewed. many bad answers and the top rated experts
are really the worst, they have archived accepted
answers and look up the question and rephrase it
and act as if they have this knack but its all fake,
may burnt motors they do not even warn anyone about

Just Answer is nothing more than a scam to screw people out of there money! Just answer has retained tens of thousands of dollars in customer deposits. These deposits are for question not answered or accepted. Your money is not returned unless you threaten them with legal action! They claim they have experts? Anyone can be an expert. I signed up using my dogs name and within a week I could have answered medical questions. Woof!!
