How Does Ask Peter Work? The Code Behind the Prank

For a number of years, one of my hobbies has been researching paranormal scams. These are situations where an individual claims they can predict the future, that they ve discovered the secret to antigravity, or that they work for the government and know the truth about aliens. A common thread in all of that surreal research is that generally, an unnerving number of people are very, very gullible.

That gullibility multiplies significantly when the event being portrayed includes something that appears supernatural or magical in nature. Deep down, many people still want to believe in magic and when they are presented with the opportunity to believe again, they jump all over it.

A case in point is a website that is very popular among the prankster community called Ask Peter (or Peter Answers). The footer text lists the page as a Virtual Tarot, as though the page truly has the ability to predict your future or answer any of your questions. In this article, I answer the question: how does Ask Peter work?

How Does Ask Peter Work? The Believer Perspective

First, I m going to show you how the website works for the person off of the street who knows nothing about the inner workings of Ask Peter. When you first arrive at the website, you ll see a very simple web form.

Peter answers virtual tarot

The point of the website is that it s a sort of electronic tarot which will peek into your future and answer your questions accordingly. However, Peter is a fickle psychic, and he must be treated with respect or he won t answer your question. Therefore, before you ask a question, you must petition Peter with the sentence, Peter, please answer the following question: If you re using the Peter Answers site alone and you don t know the secret behind the site, you ll typically get an answer like this:

Peter answers virtual tarot

What s up with that? Ah, but it s all part of the show, folks. The magic really happens when you bring in a second person who knows Peter s terrible secret (after reading this article, that will be you!) The second person needs to type in the petition and question for you, and then you ll get the answer which is usually remarkably accurate.

Peter answers virtual tarot

If the person typing the question knows the secret, you ll get such an answer. In the second half of this article, I m going to share Peter s terrible secret, and welcome you into the secret society of Ask Peter insiders. If you enjoy the childlike, magical perspective offered by your blissful ignorance, then stop reading this article now. Otherwise, if you would like to be immune to this particular scam How to Protect Yourself From 3 of the Biggest Online Scams Right Now How to Protect Yourself From 3 of the Biggest Online Scams Right Now People will always fall foul of the scammers. Three of the most devastating scams at the moment have yielded hundreds of millions of dollars for cybercriminals. What can you do to protect yourself? Read More , then read on.

Welcome to the Secret Society of Ask Peter

If you ve read this far, then you feel prepared for the secret knowledge of how Ask Peter works. Let s take a closer look.

Peter answers virtual tarot

The ultimate secret to Ask Peter is actually a bit of creative JavaScripting What Is JavaScript and How Does It Work? What Is JavaScript and How Does It Work? What is Javascript? It’s a programming language used to enhance web pages. It includes dynamically updating web pages, user interfaces and more. Let’s dive into what Javascript is all about. Read More . Getting Peter to answer a question doesn t take reverence and politeness, it takes a very plain period. That s right in the Petition field, just type a . and start typing the answer to the question that you re going to ask in the next field.

At the end of the answer, type another . and then continue typing the rest of Peter, please answer the following question: To the person sitting next to you, it only appears as though you ve typed that one question especially if you re a fast typist.

So, now you know the secret. Submitting the question that you ve already entered the answer for and clicking OK will result in Peter providing your answer. The person next to you who s watching will be astounded and flabbergasted by the amazing accuracy of this virtual tarot. Just don t be too accurate, as you ll raise suspicion. Once you re through, you can proudly claim another Ask Peter believer under your belt. In doing so, you ve perfectly portrayed the terrible gullibility that runs rampant throughout the world.

Let s take a closer look at how the background scripting for Ask Peter actually works.

Peter answers virtual tarot

Now, the creators of this website were clever enough to suspect that discerning tech geeks would try peeking under the hood, so they ve incorporated a few safeguards. The first, of course, is processing all entries through CSS using class inp to handle each input field. Then we’ll move onto 10 basic CSS examples. From there, your imagination is the limit! Read More . However, if you look closely at the form code, you ll discover an interesting anomaly.

At the footer of the page script, you can see various variables used to return different text to the text field:

Each variable is given a coded name that looks similar, but it isn t with zero and the letter O in various places in the name. The technique is clearly intended to cover up the true purpose of the script, but it s obvious that if you aren t aware of the secret use of . behind the entry of the answer, then the page is coded to provide lots of different error messages back to you.

What does this mean to those of you who aren t JavaScript programmers? It means that instead of one, single function and variable handling the input text that gets entered into each field and returning a text value to the answer field, there are multiple things that happen with every individual keypress. This means that there s a whole lot of TomFoolery going on with the text that you enter into each text field.

Now You Know the Real Answer

The answer, of course, is that if you re in the Petition field, the script returns what you type into the field, but watches for the moment you type the . character. At that point, it starts typing the rest of the statement Peter, please answer as it saves each character you re actually typing into a variable until you type . again. Finally, once you click OK your saved text that was stored in a string variable is displayed below in the form of Peter s Answer.

God is Imaginary – 50 simple proofs, i need a prayer answered.#I #need #a #prayer #answered

i need a prayer answered

I need a prayer answered

The fact is, God never answers any prayers. The entire idea that “God answers prayers” is an illusion created by human imagination.

How do we know that “answered prayers” are illusions? We simply perform scientific experiments. We ask a group of believers to pray for something and then we watch what happens. What we find, whenever we test the efficacy of prayer scientifically, is that prayer has zero effect:

  • It does not matter who prays.
  • It does not matter if we pray to God, Allah, Vishnu, Zeus, Ra or any other human god.
  • It does not matter what we pray about.

If we perform scientific, double-blind tests on prayer, and if the prayers involve something concrete and measurable (for example, healing people with cancer), we know that there is zero effect from prayer. Every single “answered prayer” is nothing more than a coincidence. Both scientific experiments and your everyday observations of the world show this to be the case every single time.

For example, this article says:

One of the most scientifically rigorous studies yet, published earlier this month, found that the prayers of a distant congregation did not reduce the major complications or death rate in patients hospitalized for heart treatments.

A review of 17 past studies of ”distant healing,” published in 2003 by a British researcher, found no significant effect for prayer or other healing methods.

This article from March, 2006 discusses the fact that the same conclusion was reached in another study:

In the largest study of its kind, researchers found that having people pray for heart bypass surgery patients had no effect on their recovery. In fact, patients who knew they were being prayed for had a slightly higher rate of complications.

In this article we find an amazing quote where theologians and religious leaders declare that prayer has no actual effect:

Religious leaders will breathe a sigh of relief at the news that so-called intercessory prayer is medically ineffective. In a large and much touted scientific study, one group of patients was told that strangers would pray for them, a second group was told strangers might or might not pray for them, and a third group was not prayed for at all. The $2.4 million study found that the strangers’ prayers did not help patients’ recovery.

This is a remarkable example of “positive spin” — religious leaders are “breathing a sigh of relief” because prayer has been shown to be meaningless. The fact that prayer is a total waste of time does not matter to them. It does not matter that all of Jesus’ promises about prayer in the Bible have been proven completely false.

A peer-reviewed scientific study published in 2001 did indicate that prayer works. According to this article:

“On October 2, 2001, the New York Times reported that researchers at prestigious Columbia University Medical Center in New York had discovered something quite extraordinary. Using virtually foolproof scientific methods the researchers had demonstrated that infertile women who were prayed for by Christian prayer groups became pregnant twice as often as those who did not have people praying for them. The study was published in the Journal of Reproductive Medicine. Even the researchers were shocked. The study’s results could only be described as miraculous.”

This study was later proven to be completely fraudulent. However, everyone who cut out the original article in the NYTimes and posted it on their refrigerators still has that article as “proof” that prayer works.

This article entitled A prayer before dying uncovers another case where a “scientific study” of prayer is unmasked as fraudulent.

It’s not just prayer that is ineffective. Not even a hopeful attitude helps. According to this article:

A positive attitude does not improve the chances of surviving cancer and doctors who encourage patients to keep up hope may be burdening them, according to the results of research released Monday.

The dictionary defines the word “superstition” in this way:

An irrational belief that an object, action, or circumstance not logically related to a course of events influences its outcome. [ref]

The belief in prayer is a superstition. It has been proven scientifically over and over again. When a prayer appears to be answered, it is a coincidence. Quite simply, prayer has absolutely no effect on the outcome of any event. The “power of prayer” is actually “the power of coincidence.”

Therefore, as in Proof #1, one of two things must be happening:

  • God is imaginary.
  • God does exist, but he never answers prayers. Unfortunately, God is defined by the Bible to be a prayer-answering being. The contradiction between the reality of God and the definition of God proves that God is imaginary.

Prayer does not work because God is completely imaginary.

You can find many believers who will say, “The reason why scientific experiments fail to detect God is because God must remain hidden. He does not answer prayers if he knows that he will be detected.”

In order to see the truth, you need to accept that this explanation is silly. If God must remain hidden, then he cannot answer any prayers. Any “answered prayer” would expose God.

The whole notion that “God” must remain “hidden” is a total cross-threading of religious doctrine. On the one hand, believers will say that “God wrote the Bible, God incarnated himself and died on the cross for us, and God answers millions of prayers on earth every day.” Then in the next breath they will say, “God must remain hidden.” God obviously cannot “remain hidden” and “incarnate himself.” These two items are mutually exclusive. Therefore, the explanation that “God must remain hidden” is impossible. As soon as you accept how impossible it is, you can begin to see see that God is imaginary.

In order to see the truth, you need to accept the fact that the scientific evidence is accurate and irrefutable. We have scientifically proven that God does not answer any prayers on earth. Every single “answered prayer” is nothing more than a coincidence.

We can see reality by looking at a simple example. Imagine that the rate of remission for some particularly nasty type of cancer is 5%. That means that if 20 people get this type of cancer, it is almost always fatal. Only one in twenty of the people who get the disease will survive. Knowing this, you can see what happens if we actually analyze prayer:

  • 20 believers contract the disease
  • All of them have read James 5:15, so all of them pray.
  • 19 of them die
  • The one who lives proclaims, “I prayed to the Lord and the Lord answered my prayers! My disease is cured! It is a miracle! I KNEW God would answer my prayers!”
  • You never hear about the 19 who died. No one ever writes about them in a magazine. “Person prays, then dies” is not a great headline. And since they are dead, you will never hear from any of these people.
  • Therefore, if you don’t look at all the facts around the “answered prayer,” and you only hear about the one out of twenty prayers that succeed, it appears that prayer is successful.

The fact is, believers who pray die from this disease at exactly the same rate as people who do not.

We can see the reality of this situation simply by opening our eyes and looking at the data. But we do have to open our eyes — We have to look at both the successes AND the failures of prayer to see the reality of our world. When we take a scientific approach and we do look at both sides, we see what is really happening. God does not answer any prayers because God is imaginary.

The Lord’s Prayer is the model of prayer that Jesus taught us, as recorded in the gospels of Matthew and Luke.

It is presented here in traditional and modern language – Matthew 6:9-13

hallowed be thy name.

Thy Kingdom come,

thy will be done,

on earth as it is in heaven

Give us this day our daily bread.

And forgive us our trespasses,

as we forgive those who trespass against us.

And lead us not into temptation,

but deliver us from evil.

For thine is the kingdom, the power and the glory, for ever and ever.

Our Father in heaven,

hallowed be your name.

Your Kingdom come,

your will be done,

on earth as in heaven

Give us today our daily bread.

Forgive us our sins,

Lead us not into temptation,

but deliver us from evil.

For the kingdom, the power and the glory are yours.

Now and for ever.

    Chapter 13

1 Thus saith the LORD unto me, Go and get thee a linen girdle, and put it upon thy loins, and put it not in water.

2 So I got a girdle according to the word of the LORD, and put it on my loins.

3 And the word of the LORD came unto me the second time, saying,

4 Take the girdle that thou hast got, which is upon thy loins, and arise, go to Euphrates, and hide it there in a hole of the rock.

5 So I went, and hid it by Euphrates, as the LORD commanded me.

    i need a prayer answered

What a Wonderful Savior (SDA Hymnal #335); Come, Thou Fount of Every Blessing (SDA Hymnal #334); There Is a Fountain (SDA Hymnal #336); Jesus Saves (SDA Hymnal #340); Turn Your Eyes Upon Jesus (SDA Hymnal #290); Take the World, but Give Me Jesus (SDA Hymnal #329); I Will Sing of My Redeemer (SDA Hymnal #343).

The Robe is a symbol of Christ s righteousness that covers our nakedness when we accept it.

All that have put on the robe of Christ s righteousness will stand before Him as chosen and faithful and true. Satan has no power to pluck them out of the hand of Christ. Not one soul that in penitence and faith has claimed His protection will Christ permit to pass under the enemy s power. His word is pledged: Let him take hold of My strength, that he may make peace with Me; and he shall make peace with Me. Isaiah 27:5. The promise given to Joshua is made to all: If thou wilt keep My charge, . . . I will give thee places to walk among these that stand by. Zechariah 3:7. Angels of God will walk on either side of them, even in this world, and they will stand at last among the angels that surround the throne of God. (Counsels for the Church, pp. 351, 352) It is the righteousness of Christ that makes the penitent sinner acceptable to God and works his justification. However sinful has been his life, if he believes in Jesus as his personal Saviour, he stands before God in the spotless robes of Christ s imputed righteousness. (Faith and Works, p. 106) And be found in Him, not having my own righteousness, which is from the law, but that which is through faith in Christ, the righteousness which is from God by faith. (Philippians 3:9) The sinner so recently dead in trespasses and sins is quickened by faith in Christ. He sees by faith that Jesus is his Saviour, and alive forevermore, able to save unto the uttermost [all] that come unto God by Him. In the atonement made for him the believer sees such breadth and length and height and depth of efficiency sees such completeness of salvation, purchased at such infinite cost, that his soul is filled with praise and thanksgiving. He sees as in a glass the glory of the Lord and is changed into the same image as by the Spirit of the Lord. He sees the robe of Christ s righteousness, woven in the loom of heaven, wrought by his obedience, and imputed to the repenting soul through faith in His name. When the sinner has a view of the matchless charms of Jesus, sin no longer looks attractive to him; for he beholds the Chiefest among ten thousand, the One altogether lovely. He realizes by a personal experience the power of the gospel, whose vastness of design is equaled only by its preciousness of purpose. (Faith and Works, pp. 106, 107) As the people of God afflict their souls before Him, pleading for purity of heart, the command is given, Take away the filthy garments from them, and the encouraging words are spoken, Behold, I have caused thine iniquity to pass from thee, and I will clothe thee with change of raiment. The spotless robe of Christ s righteousness is placed upon the tried, tempted, yet faithful children of God. The despised remnant are clothed in glorious apparel, nevermore to be defiled by the corruptions of the world. Their names are retained in the Lamb s book of life, enrolled among the faithful of all ages. They have resisted the wiles of the deceiver; they have not been turned from their loyalty by the dragon s roar. Now they are eternally secure from the tempter s devices. Their sins are transferred to the originator of sin. (Counsels for the Church, p. 353) A general faith is not enough. We must put on the robe of Christ s righteousness and wear it openly, bravely, decidedly, exhibiting Christ, and not expect too much of finite man, but keep looking unto Jesus, and become ravished with the perfections of His character. Then we shall individually make manifest the character of Jesus, and make it evident that we are invigorated by the truth; because it sanctifies the soul and brings into captivity every thought to the obedience of Christ. (Reflecting Christ, p. 108) The truly righteous, who sincerely love and fear God, wear the robe of Christ s righteousness in prosperity and adversity alike. Self-denial, selfsacrifice, benevolence, kindness, love, patience, fortitude, and Christian trust are the daily fruits borne by those who are truly connected with God. Their acts may not be published to the world, but they themselves are daily wrestling with evil, and gaining precious victories over temptation and wrong. (God s Amazing Grace, p. 31) He himself bore our sins in his body on the tree, that we might die to sin and live to righteousness. By his wounds you have been healed. (1 Peter 2:24, ESV) Each one will have a close struggle to overcome sin in his own heart. This is at times a very painful and discouraging work; because, as we see the deformities in our character, we keep looking at them, when we should look to Jesus and put on the robe of His righteousness. Everyone who enters the pearly gates of the city of God will enter there as a conqueror, and his greatest conquest will have been the conquest of self. (God s Amazing Grace, p. 31) He restoreth my soul: he leadeth me in the paths of righteousness for his name s sake. (Psalm 23:3, KJV)

Realistic Math Problems Help 6th-graders Solve Real-Life Questions

Solving math problems can intimidate sixth-graders: It shouldn t. Using a few simple formulas and a bit of logic can help students quickly calculate answers to seemingly intractable problems. Explain to students that you can find the rate (or speed) that someone is traveling if you know the distance and time that she traveled. Conversely, if you know the speed (rate) that a person is traveling as well as the distance, you can calculate the time he traveled. You simply use the basic formula: rate times the time equals distance, or r * t d (where * is the symbol for times.)

The free, printable worksheets below involve problems such as these, as well as other important problems, such as determining the largest common factor, calculating percentages, and more. The answers for each worksheet are provided through a link in the second slide right after each worksheet. Have students work the problems, fill in their answers in the provided blank spaces, then explain how they would arrive at the solutions for questions where they are having difficulty. The worksheets provide a great and simple way to do quick formative assessments for an entire math class.

    Worksheet No 1

    6th grade math answers

On this PDF, your students will solve problems such as: Your brother traveled 117 miles in 2.25 hours to come home for school break. What’s the average speed that he was traveling? and You have 15 yards of ribbon for your gift boxes. Each box gets the same amount of ribbon. How much ribbon will each of your 20 gift boxes get?

    Worksheet No. 1 Solutions

    6th grade math answers

To solve the first equation on the worksheet, use the basic formula: rate times the time distance, or r * t d. In this case, r the unknown variable, t 2.25 hours, and d 117 miles. Isolate the variable by dividing r from each side of the equation to yield the revised formula, r t ÷ d. Plug in the numbers to get: r 117 ÷ 2.25, yielding r 52 mph.

For the second problem, you don t even need to use a formula—just basic math and some common sense. The problem involves simple division: 15 yards of ribbon divided by 20 boxes, can be shortened as 15 ÷ 20 0.75. So each box gets 0.75 yards of ribbon.

    Worksheet No. 2

    6th grade math answers

On worksheet No. 2, students solve problems that involve a little bit of logic and a knowledge of factors, such as: I’m thinking of two numbers, 12 and another number. 12 and my other number have a greatest common factor of 6 and their least common multiple is 36. What’s the other number I’m thinking of?

Other problems require only a basic knowledge of percentages, as well as how to convert percentages to decimals, such as: Jasmine has 50 marbles in a bag. 20% of the marbles are blue. How many marbles are blue?

    Worksheet No. 2 Solution

    6th grade math answers

For the first problem on this worksheet, you need to know that the factors of 12 are 1, 2, 3, 4, 6, and 12; and the multiples of 12 are 12, 24, 36. (You stop at 36 because the problem says that this number is the largest common multiple.) Let s pick 6 as a possible greatest common multiple because it s the largest factor of 12 other than 12. The multiples of 6 are 6, 12, 18, 24, 30, and 36. Six can go into 36 six times (6 x 6), 12 can go into 36 three times (12 x 3), and 18 can go into 36 twice (18 x 2), but 24 cannot. Therefore the answer is 18, as 18 is the largest common multiple that can go into 36.

For the second answer, the solution is simpler: First, convert 20% to a decimal to get 0.20. Then, multiply the number of marbles (50) by 0.20. You would set up the problem as follows: 0.20 x 50 marbles 10 blue marbles.

Why Do Some Prayers Take a Long Time to Be Answered? Kenneth Copeland Ministries, i need a prayer answered.#I #need #a #prayer #answered

    Prayer : Learn

    I need a prayer answered

The Bible tells us God is Love. And in page after page, we see the countless demonstrations of His great love. We read of His compassion and promises, and we see His willingness to use awesome power on behalf of His people. God is faithful—to His people, and to His Word.

There are times, however, when we as the very chosen of God tend to rely on our five physical senses to decide whether He is really “out there” and whether He is hearing and answering our prayers. Once we pray our prayers, all too often it’s easy to look around for physical evidence and then believe for what we prayed.

In effect, when we do that, it’s like trying to see with our ears or hear with our noses. We must determine even before we pray that any physical evidence contrary to what we pray will not sway us into doubt and unbelief. We need to realize that the evidence—God’s Word—upon which our faith rests is far more reliable than what we can see. Regardless of physical evidence, the Word is perfect!

That’s the truth of the matter, but sometimes it does help to have some practical guidelines to keep us within the bounds of truth. So, the following seven steps are suggested as guidelines to help you in your determined walk of faith when it comes to your prayers and how to wait in faith for them to be answered.

    1 John 3:22, 5:14-15; John 15:7; Romans 12:2

Prayer that brings results must be based on God’s Word. We should start with the answers to our prayers—the Word. Jesus said, “If ye abide in me, and my words abide in you, ye shall ask what ye will, and it shall be done unto you” (John 15:7). The Bible contains over 7,000 promises—promises which include wealth and wisdom, health and success. Finding the specific promises that apply to your situation is well worth the effort. Several are listed at the end of this article.

    James 2:14-24, 3:11-17; Romans 3:4; Hebrews 4:11-16

Start your confession of faith before you see the manifestation of answers to your prayers. Believe you receive when you pray. Hold fast to your confession by acting as though it were already done. To be afraid to confess or act before you have it is to doubt God’s Word.

    2 Corinthians 10:5

Refuse to allow doubt and fear to enter your consciousness. Satan will tell you that your answers are not coming. But take those whispers of doubt captive. You have the right and power to demolish every argument that comes against the knowledge of God’s Word.

So control your mind with the Word and dwell on the answer instead of the problem.

    Proverbs 4:20-24; Matthew 6:22-23, 13:15-16; Romans 13:14

See yourself through the Word—as a success, not a failure.

Testify of what you believe. Testify of the Word. Add your testimony to what you have received by the blood—your redemption. You have the rights to all that Jesus did.

    Galatians 5:6; 1 John 4:12

Faith works when we operate in the love of God. Get involved in helping someone. As you adhere to the message of God’s love, His love will flow from you to others.

    Luke 6:38; James 5:16; Mark 4:14-29; Acts 20:35

Get on the giving end. If you need healing, give the message of healing to someone else. If you need money, give money. It’s God’s law—you will reap what you sow. The way you measure out is the way it will be measured back to you.

Need some help finding scriptures that cover your need? Here are a few to get you started.

    Prevailing Intercessory Prayer: Testimonies of Answered Prayer, i need a prayer answered.#I #need #a #prayer #answered

    i need a prayer answered

I half-heartedly prayed that if it were God s will, a reunion would take place and then I forgot and gave up too. Sometime later there was a boy riding his bike around Australia. Choosing an unlikely inland route, he had the misfortune of a flat tire. This happened right outside my parents place 5 kilometres south of Nanango, Queensland. He almost went unnoticed when he walked into their little wood-working gallery but by chance my sister Karla caught him as he walked back out the door. She drove him into town to have his bike repaired, and as he had to wait overnight he camped in her back yard. The boy was American and for some unknown reason my sister asked him, Do you know Virgil Nedium Hale? His surprising response – Yes I do believe he is the minister at my Grandmother s church in Lebanon, Virginia. . (Read the rest of this marvelous testimony. )

Sale of Home in Florida in spite of the subprime problems! 5/2008

Ben is a close friend and prayer partner. Ben has been walking with Jesus ever since he was miraculously healed as a teenager. Over the years he has been healed, provided for financially, led to people that were needed godly attention, etc., in ways that prove without a doubt that God is alive and loves to care for his children.

August Francke was used by God to establish an amazing ministry in Halle Germany in the late 1600s. Before he died he had established an orphanage that cared for 2,000 children, a publishing ministry, multiple schools, and a medical work. He never asked anyone directly for funds, preferring to ask God to send the funds when he prayed. Francke was inspired George M ller to start his orphanage in Bristol England 150 years later.

    Testimonies on Overcoming Depression

It was in those dark trials that God s love became real in my life. In my depression I realized that nothing I tried to do would ever break me free from the shadows that held me captive. Sure, I tried to do it on my own over and over again but always found myself further into the darkness than before. On my own strength I was powerless to change. It was only then that I truly understood my overwhelming need for God.

Self-Injury and BPD: Overcoming It A touching story of how Isaiah 53 brought a miracle.

Being at rock bottom means different things to different people, but for me it meant being collapsed in a heap on my bathroom floor, a knife in my hand, and my blood splashed on the walls, on the floor, and all over my clothes.

In a ceremony performed in my bedroom, I wrote a contract to Satan in my own blood, telling him that I would give him my soul if he would reduce my height. I had four candles burning on a pentagram and I went to sleep without putting them out. Two of the candles burned through to the carpet, setting it on fire, and as my duvet was just about to be set alight, I woke up.

Before we were scheduled to leave for South Korea, we still owed $12,000 in student loans! Things were not going as we had expected, but we settled in our hearts to trust in God s will for our family even if it meant not returning to South Korea. Then our Heavenly Father sent Tamika again. She reminded me of James 2:17, Even so faith, if it hath not works, is dead, being alone. This was tough medicine, but as I thought about our situation I realized that we had been so focused on praying and soliciting the prayers of others that we failed to add any works to our faith. But God is so merciful to His children. Monday morning, Brent was impressed to add works to his faith and after breakfast he left the house going to talk to a friend about helping him with his loans. Shortly after Brent left, the Lord told me to start packing and cleaning. This was a strange command, but I obeyed. Around lunchtime there was a knock at the door. It was Tamika and her family. She came by to pray with me, encourage me with promises from the Bible, say farewell, and give me some money for our trip. (Read the entire testimony)

Preparing for shopping on the Thursday afternoon I calculated what money I would have left after paying tithe, bills etc. I had checked the balance only a few days ago with no job my savings had dwindled to around $30-$40 I knew I had no other funds coming in or so I thought? After morning worship my husband and I started to go through the accounts. We quickly realized, I had payed an outstanding bill through the week and accidentally not left enough money to pay tithe. This left a big ache in our stomaches and we tried to think of how we could put together around $70 dollars, impossible. GOD MOVES IN MYSTERIOUS WAYS. After we did a little flapping about my husband was checking the balances of all the accounts on the automated phone service and to our surprise and delight there was an unexplainable $200 something in MY account? We floated to church that week, we could pay tithe and eat. I think of that scripture Your bread and water shall be sure The mystery was cleared up a week later when I received a pay slip from a locum position I had done some SIX months ago. It was for 5.4 hours of work. I sure can t remember that far back. I am so glad my Father in heaven remembers me though. AMEN. From Australia

    Answering Services Review

The top performers in our review are AnswerConnect, the Gold Award winner; AnswerAmerica, the Silver Award winner; and XACT Telesolutions, the Bronze Award winner. Here s more on choosing a system to meet your needs, along with detail on how we arrived at our ranking of the top 10 answering services.

    What are Answering Services?

If you have a high volume of incoming telephone calls that you can t quite handle, but you don t want to hire more personnel, an answering service could be useful in providing your patrons with customer service, freeing your staff to handle other duties. Answering services provide real people to answer your phone calls, take messages, set appointments, handle sales and more. These services are popular in many industries, and can be especially useful in health care and retail, specifically in the small- to mid-market range.

The answering services we ve reviewed here handle inbound calls. If you re looking for outbound call services as well as inbound, or if you want to focus on lead generation services and sales, see our Call Center Services review. For more information on Answering Services, check out these articles.

    How Answering Services Work

Answering services can help you provide customer service without overtaxing your existing staff or requiring you to hire new personnel. Their professionals can answer questions and resolve customer complaints, even after regular business hours.

All of the services on our lineup answer incoming phone calls and customer questions by following a script you provide to the service. You can put as much or as little information into these scripts as you d like. Most of these companies have customizable options so that agents have as much knowledge about your product or service as you want them to have.

    How Answering Services Bill

Answering services vary in how they bill services. Most of the services we reviewed bill by the minute, which works especially well if your incoming calls tend to be short. NovusCall is the only service on our list that bills per phone call, which is beneficial if your incoming calls tend to be longer.

Regardless of the billing structure, you should make sure that the answering service you choose does not count spam calls, hang-ups or misdials toward your allotted monthly time or call volume. Most of the services on our list don t charge for these types of calls.

All of the services on our lineup are based in the United States. They all provide daily reports, toll-free or local numbers (though some may cost extra), call patching and strong customer service.

When using a phone answering service, it s important to remember that while not hiring extra personnel may be helpful to you, not all services will be equally helpful to your customers. It s important to make sure beforehand that the answering service will meet the needs of your customers. For example, if your customers need to make appointments, make sure the service you choose offers that function.

Likewise, if you need an answering service to process orders, be sure to give the company plenty of information so it can train its agents to answer calls to your and your customers satisfaction. It is also important to make sure that a company s customer service is top notch. Otherwise, your customers might find the service they receive lacking, which may affect whether they work with you again.

What We Evaluated, What We Found

When we looked at answering services, we evaluated each service in four different categories: Setup and Billing, Service Options, Industry-Specific Services, and Help and Support. All 10 of the services we evaluated offer order processing and accept orders by entering your customers information into the front end of your existing website. Some products, like 1-888-GO-ANSWER, also offer lead-generation services.

We evaluated how long it takes your account to be activated. A shorter setup time means you ll be up and running quickly. NovusCall can usually activate your account the same day. However, note that faster isn t always better. For example, if agents that will be answering calls require specialized training on your product or services beyond what a script will provide, a longer setup time will allow for adequate training.

Most of the answering services we reviewed have competitive setup fees that go toward software and training. VoiceNation s basic plan has no setup fee, however, which could be helpful if you re on a tight budget. AnswerAmerica also does not charge a setup fee.

The majority of answering services bill based on a set number of minutes each month; that is, an estimated number of minutes the service s employees will spend answering calls and engaging with your customers.

While the services we reviewed have several different plans available, an average plan across the board is 500 monthly minutes of call time, which equates to about 150 calls. Most of the services we reviewed charge by the minute; NovusCall charges by the call. The cheapest plan for 500 minutes or 150 calls is offered by AnswerAmerica.

We also considered the service options provided by each company. In our evaluation, we included whether bilingual options, mainly English and Spanish, are offered and if the answering service is available 24/7. All but one of the services we reviewed answer calls all day, every day, which means they can offer service to your customers even when your business is closed. Most of these companies also offer online account access so you can easily view messages and reports. MAP Communications offers especially useful reports full of analytics and other information.

Besides what the services offer to your customers, we also looked at what they offer you, the business owner. Most offer to help you with script development, and most offer month-to-month options that don t require a long-term contract.

All of the services on our list send daily reports to you about the calls they receive, they transfer calls to you as needed, and they send you messages via email, text and fax. All of these services have domestic locations in the United States, and you can email them or call with any questions, comments or concerns you have.

Answering services can be a popular choice for medical offices, and we ve highlighted the companies that offer specialized services to medical offices of all sorts. One of the most important features for a medical answering service is HIPAA compliance because it can ensure the safety and security of patient information and may help you avoid lawsuits. Almost all of the services we reviewed follow HIPAA regulations. Stericycle Communications takes it further and has its own HIPAA team to ensure its processes are HIPAA compliant. It also trains its employees on HIPAA protocols regularly.

Also for medical practices, the service you choose should have the capability of scheduling patient appointments. Most answering services will use your scheduling software. Others, like MAP Communications, prefer online systems such as Google Calendar or Yahoo Calendar. Many answering services include appointment setting in the cost of their services, but some charge extra, so check for extra fees before deciding on a service.

Order processing is another common feature answering services provide. All 10 companies we reviewed provide this. Some charge extra for it, while others include this service in their basic plans. Be aware that not all companies process orders the same way. Most companies enter your customers information into the front end of your website. Others, like Professional Communications Messaging Service, offer their own software, in addition to yours, as an alternative to processing orders. This can be helpful if you don t currently have a website with a shopping cart or other established software to help with order processing.

The best answering services offer email, FAQs and live chat to answer your questions. We also evaluated our own experiences with each service, including who was most likely to give us a surplus of information without significant delays and without transferring us to different people. AnswerConnect and NovusCall provided especially high-quality customer service. Overall, we had a positive experience with each of the companies, though some were more responsive than others.

Each service on our top 10 list is worth considering. The best answering service for your business, however, depends on the features and extras you re looking for. If you want a service with solid customer service, Xact Telesolutions is a good choice. Stericycle Communications is especially well suited for medical services, and Professional Communications Messaging Service has strong features for order processing.

H ere’s our short answers to some of the stickier, trickier questions that come our way from time to time. Try these on your friends as conversation starters.

    Answers to bible questions

If God is all-powerful, can He create a rock so big that He can’t lift it?

No. God cannot do the logically impossible, any more than He can act out of character with Himself. God cannot, for instance, create a square circle, stop being good, or cease being God. God can do everything that is possible to do, which includes those acts for which there may be no simple, immediate, apparent, human explanation, i.e. miracles. For further study, see Jeremiah 32:17, Matthew 19:26, Hebrews 6:18, and 2 Timothy 2:13.

If God created Satan, and Satan is evil, is evil God’s fault?

No. God did not create Satan (or men, for that matter) as evil—only with the capacity for evil. (Isaiah 14:12)

    Could Jesus have sinned?

Only if He had wanted to sin.

Could Jesus have really ever wanted to sin?

    No. Not really. Not ultimately.

In His humanity alone, the answer would be “yes,” which is why the temptations that Jesus faced (Matthew 4:1, Hebrews 4:15) were indeed very intense and real. Nevertheless, though Jesus was fully human, He was not only human. And in terms of His Divine nature—when it came right down to it—He would never, and could never, have actually ever willed to sin. To have done so would mean that He (as God) had actually willed to occur what He actually willed not to occur, which makes no sense at all.

The Bible says in James 1:13 that God (i.e. by inference, the Divine nature of Christ) cannot be tempted by evil.

For further insight, see: Could Christ have sinned? Answer (ChristianAnswers.Net/q-acb/acb-t003.html)

If God is everywhere, is He in Hell?

Yes. Insofar as Divine omnipresence implies access and involves, or interrelates to, the other Divine attributes of infinitude, omnipotence (control), and omniscience (awareness), God is present even in hell. No door anywhere is closed to God. No room is locked. No corner of the universe or reality is off-limits to Deity. The Bible affirms this truth in texts like Psalm 139:7-10, Colossians 1:17, Amos 9:1-4, Isaiah 66:1-2, Jeremiah 23:23-24.

God, however, is not relationally present with, or available to, those in hell. That is, He is not present to bless, deal with, or grant even common grace and light in hell, which explains the terrifying sense of Matthew 25:41, the external extrapolation of a spiritual separation that occurs even now when sin is present (Isaiah 59:2, Matthew 27:46).

    Answers to bible questions

Leviticus 11:7-8 says that touching the skin of a dead pig makes me unclean. May I still play football if I wear gloves?

You may still play football. And you don’t even need to wear gloves. Just receive Christ as Savior, read Acts 10:15, and get with the times, for this is the New Testament era, friend. And by the way—most footballs these days are made from cowhide, not pigskin. In fact, one source reports that it takes 3,000 cows to supply the NFL with enough leather for a year’s supply of footballs.

Couldn’t life on Earth be the result of mere chance? Thomas Huxley is reported to have once stated that if enough monkeys randomly pressed typewriter keys for a long enough time, sooner or later Psalm 23 would emerge.

    Answers to bible questions

First of all, monkeys don’t type.* But even if they did, chance alone could never adequately account for the growing number of factors being cited by the Intelligent Design movement, e.g. irreducible complexity (Darwin’s Black Box, by Michael Behe), the generation of complex specified information (Intelligent Design, p165ff, by William Demski).

    * Instructors at Plymouth University, England, once put six Sulawesi crested macaque monkeys in a room with a computer and keyboards for four weeks. One monkey frequently typed the letter “s,” but the other monkeys ignored the keyboard. One eventually smashed it with a stone and the others then began to repeatedly urinate and defecate on it. —with thanks to columnist Dennis Prager in “Monkeys and Atheists.”

    The Secret to Powerful Prayer – How God Answers Prayers, i need a prayer answered.#I #need #a #prayer #answered

    i need a prayer answered

The secret to effective prayer is faith in Jesus Christ and absolute trust in the Word He has spoken.

This is my commandment: love one another, as I have loved you.

    and I commissioned you to go out and to bear fruit, fruit that will last;

and then the Father will give you anything you ask him in my name.

What I command you is to love one another.

We cannot truly love one another if we harbor bitterness in our hearts. This is why we must release such bonds, and the way we release them is through the action of forgiveness in prayer.

    Increasing the Power of Prayer

    1. Pray to God in the name of Jesus and the Holy Spirit.

    2. Surrender your problem entirely to God.

    3. Your release should be total and complete.

    4. Be humble. This is why many kneel.

    5. Forgive all your enemies by name.

    6. Have faith. Do not doubt.

    7. Know that your prayer has already been answered.

    8. Have patience. God is granting a perfect fulfillment.

    9. Do not impose limitations which restrict God’s answer.

    10. Thank God in advance and praise Him.

    11. Pray in a group of at least 2 or 3.

    12. Petition church prayer groups to include your prayers.

    13. Encourage small children to also pray.

    14. Do not discourage prayer in tongues.

    15. Persist. Do not give up.

    Confess your sins to God.

    Repent in earnest

And if you have not aleady done so,

    Commit your life to Christ.
