Have you ever tried counting how much time writing a single paper takes? Ever added up the time spent on writing essays and other assignments within a term? Within a year? A few years?

You can’t evaluate the full damage until you’ve seen the bigger picture. Research shows that an average student can spend up to 450 hours a term working on writing assignments. But instead, you are working on another essay that no one will appreciate (pessimistic but true).

We are offering you to fix this. How? By having someone else work on your papers hired at our essay services. You’ve paid that gargantuan tuition to be taught and not to self-educate, right? The unique value proposition of our essay service

“Okay, what are you offering exactly ?” might be you next question. If it is not, feel free to skip this paragraph and read the one where we describe how we differ from similar companies. For those who want to know the basics first, here is what our company does:

We write 100% original academic papers for our customers according to the prompts they provide.

Yes, we can describe the kind of service we offer in just one sentence. We believe it shows the quality.

Of course, there are additional services that can be ordered in a package or separately, but providing our customers with excellent papers is the primary concern of ours. The rest is secondary.

Writing an essay – professional style

There are hundreds of websites where you can order writing a essay, but only one where this essay will be:

  • Original – we accept only 100% originality scores for our papers
  • Written by professional writers that hold degrees (bachelor’s at least)
  • Developed in full compliance with the requirements (both universal and individual)
  • Showing a fresh point of view on an old topic
  • Of the specified length (pages and the number of words)

These are the benefits related to the papers we provide. Other advantages include:

  1. PROTECTION OF CONFIDENTIALITY. Although we don’t accept anonymous orders (even if we did, the payment information includes your name), we take all possible measures to protect our customers’ identities and information against unauthorized use. No third parties will receive your email address for unsolicited mail and fraudulent activities.
  1. URGENT TIMELY DELIVERY. We take the most urgent orders. If it is impossible to fulfill the desired deadline, the ordering form will not be submitted. We don’t like giving our customers hope and wasting their time while in truth it is physically impossible to fulfill their order.
  1. FREE REVISIONS. Has your paper been delivered in less than a perfect state? Then you should definitely use the free revision option and make it compliant with all your requirements. The period in which we provide free revisions is 2 weeks after the paper has been delivered for the first time. You can extend the free revision period for a moderate fee.
  1. BEST PRICE TO QUALITY RATIO. Writing essay here is always affordable due to our elaborated pricing policy. The price you pay for your order depends on several factors and is defined individually for every order. It means you can manipulate the price by adjusting some pricing parameters.

Speaking of the price, our professional writing services don’t cost much!

If you have ever used essay writing services, you might be under the impression that it costs a lot. It is true that professional writers can charge a lot for their assistance, but what you should be really concerned about is the price to quality ratio.

We can guarantee you the following: you won’t have to drain your bank account to order our help, and the kind of quality you will get in return will be higher than the kind of quality you will get elsewhere for the same price. Put simply, we charge the same but work better.

This is partly why a lot of students choose our service for major and important assignments – dissertations, admission essays, etc. It is just too important to save money on it. Besides, we have already told you that our prices are of an acceptable level.

We respect your time and have already taken way too much of it to read all those words. No more talking. If you really want to understand what it means to get what you pay for, place your order right now. We can guarantee that you won’t be disappointed in your choice.

Best answer: First, may I thank you, and also congratulate you for posting such an amazing, and appropriate question. You ve certainly generated a huge response.

One thing I ve noticed that I find both interesting and disturbing in many of the answers is the immediate reference to a certain description of President Obama. Perhaps others have picked up on this as well. There s just something about him that makes him different from the other presidents. Gosh, I just can t imagine what THAT could be.

Seriously, folks, WHY is that the very first thing that comes to many people s minds when asked what they think about President Obama? What about his accomplishments? His classiness? His coolness? His poise? But nooooo. the first thing we say is, Oh, he was black

Really. This is ALL that maters or comes to mind when you think about him?

When I think of President Obama, I think of a man of great class. This guy is cool! He has quite the sense of humor. The country s economy was in quite the mess when he first came into office. A certain group of people (Gosh, I can t imagine WHO) put up one roadblock after another, after another in an attempt to make this guy look bad. That s been their plan. Whatever he was for, they were against. It did not matter if some of his plans were actually very good plans that would benefit the American people. Because these were his plans, they were against them. Then they had the nerve to turn around and try to say, What has President Obama ever done for this country? Not a thing! That s been their agenda all along. They wanted him to look bad.

But they have FAILED.

Despite of all those road blocks, I think President Obama has done quite an amazing job in turning things around compared to how they were when he first took office. Is there still work to be done? Is there room for improvement? Absolutely! The work must go forward. I cringe to think what this country would look like today if the previous president was still in power.

One of our presidential candidates has the slogan, Make America Great Again . My question is, Isn t America ALREADY great? I believe it is.

No, President Obama isn t perfect. Do you know anybody who is? I don t. You cannot please all of the people all of the time, and I believe President Obama is well aware of that. He has faced a LOT of criticism, probably more than many past presidents. Some of the criticism might be warranted, but I believe a lot of it is not. Some of the blatant displays of disrespect towards him, which I think is undeserving, have been way beyond what other presidents have experienced, and yet, look how he s handled it; He is a man of class.

I am grateful to have lived during the time when he was our president.

Can you get answers for your homework?

Yes, it is cheating. Some teachers know online sources and check them to find out what anwers they give, so they can sometimes catch you. In grade school or high school it wou ld be an automatic F, but in college it would be an automatic expulsion. Homework is intended to give practice on the subject, It is A way to have the student do the work repetatively, Thus etching the topic and formulas into the BRAIN. So if someone is getting the answers from someone else in any way, Then YES THATS CHEATING, YOURSELF!

You are cheating yourself out of quality education. The purpose of classroom quizzes and exams is to help you find your strong and weak points whereas the purpose of homework is for you to apply your time to researching correct answers. I would hardly qualify paying someone for answers as researching – I would certainly categorize it as cheating ON YOURSELF. Another opinion: If you use an online tutor to help you learn how to do your homework, it is the same as getting any other kind of teacher, and is not cheating. If you just get the tutor to tell you the answers and don’t try to learn, then it is cheating. (MORE)

How to Cheat on Homework or Online Classes

Internet Search for Homework Answers. Free Help. How to Send Homework by Email. How to Cheat at Online Classes
My view of homework help (homework cheating):
As a tutor, I try to ask students to learn the material and ask me questions that they are having trouble with. However!. I understand that most students taking college algebra, physics, or chemistry will seldom use the information in those courses and I would rather see someone get on with their life and get a job than get held back. Does a guidance counselor ever use the formula for an ellipse or convert grams to moles or calculate the trajectory of an arrow shot from a bow at an angle of 33.2 degrees above the horizon with an initial speed of 42.8 m/s? NO! So while some people might look down on homework help or homework cheating, I don’t see it as a huge sin and those who do can jump in a lake (with piranhas!).

I warn students that they typically need to know the material to pass their class exams, so please don’t view this as a complete “get out of jail free card”. Also turning in A+ homework and getting F’s on an exam is a give-away that you are cheating. Be careful.

I offer one of the least expensive homework help services that I know of. It averages out to about $15 to $20 per hour. See details on the homepage: www.tutor-homework.com .

Various Methods of “Homework Cheating”:

Doing an Internet Search for Homework Answers
If you are at this page, I’m sure you’re aware of the power of doing a Google or Yahoo search. And you probably also know that if you’re searching for the answer to a specific question, just type double quotes around your search query.

For example: suppose you are searching for an answer to this question.

How long does it take for a car traveling at a speed of 50.0 miles per hour to travel 300 feet?

You can copy and paste the question into a search engine and you will get back thousands, possibly millions, of results, many of them trying to sell you a new car (ha ha). To narrow your search, put double quotes around the question.

Sometimes the words of the question might stay the same, but the numerical values might change. For example the 50.0 miles per hour in the question above might be switched to 55.0 miles per hour, so you might try a search for only the text part in double quotes.

Free Help – you get what you pay for.
There are also many Q & A services on the internet that will do your homework for you. There are some free services that will help you with a few questions, but if you have a lot of questions, you will have a tough time finding someone to “help” you through them all for free. One service for quick answers is answers.yahoo.com. Most of the people who answer questions there are trying to help you to learn and will not just do your homework for you! And there is no guarantee you’ll get the right answer to your homework question.

How to copy homework questions from your book or website and email them to a tutor:
It is a real pain just typing your questions to email them to a tutor, and if there are a lot of mathematical formulas and/or diagrams, this is next to impossible!
Instead what you should do is scan your questions, saving them as a pdf or jpg file (and perhaps insert the jpg files into MS Word). If you don’t have a scanner, your school might have one in the computer center. Or you could try a copy shop like Kinko’s or something (although Kinko’s is overpriced and if you can find a small independent copy shop you’ll likely get a better deal). Save your file as a pdf or jpg, but make sure the file isn’t too large. 250 to 300 kb per each graphic should be fine. Emails don’t usually handle file sizes of more than 4 or 5 megabytes.

If your homework is online you can either use “copy and paste” or a screen capture. See details here for screen captures: Copying Questions for Homework Help. Screen capture is often the preferred method because if your website questions have a lot of graphics, “copy and paste” will not work because Microsoft just hasn’t figured out how to copy a webpage into MS Word so that all the graphics get included. Also copying any tables from a website and pasting them into MS Word typically eats up computer memory like mad. So to keep an information in your question from being lost (like graphics getting dropped when you do a cut and paste) and to make sure MS Word doesn’t get hung up on the tables, doing a screen capture is often your best bet!

Screen capture not working?
If this is the case it’s likely that the online class website designers know how to block this command. However there are screen capture programs made that can override this. It’s a lot of trouble, but there it is. You just have to know how to outsmart the computer.

Using a Secure Browser?
If your school makes you use a secure browswer when doing your online work so that you cannot Google or email or chat with a tutor, then you might need to use a 2nd computer. You might be able to take a picture of the exam questions on your computer with a camera and then email the pictures to a tutor.

Cheating at online classes:
If your class is one of those that are entirely online — even the exams!– from your own home, then cheating is easy! Some students give out their login names and passwords to tutors or homework help services and ask them to take the class for them. I don’t recommend this. In fact I’ve known students to be ripped off by these homework help services and if the student tries to get their money back, the “tutor” threatens to tell the student’s university! Also, if a website administrator sees that the login IP address came from India or even from a state or province far from where you live, you can get caught! I’ve never heard of this happening, but it’s possible. What I would recommend is that you login from your computer and send the questions to a tutor through email or instant messenger. This takes a little more time, but is a bit safer.

If you do decide to pay someone to log in for you and complete your class, only pay a little bit as you go. DO NOT PAY THE ENTIRE SUM TO ANY TUTOR OR HOMEWORK HELP SERVICE. unless you just like getting ripped off. In fact, I know of a student who paid a very large sum to a tutor, only the tutor did not do the work and when the student asked for his money back, the “tutor” said he would tell the student’s school if the student tried to get his money back. Also, credit card companies usually do not refund for services not rendered, they only do that for goods (like not getting something your ordered in the mail.)

Be smart and know the tutor you are dealing with — call them, speak to them.

Why doesn t God answer my prayers?

Does God really mean it when He says that He will give us what we ask for? Bible texts come to our minds, such as Matthew 7:7, “Ask, and it will be given to you”. Will He really answer when we call? Isaiah 65:24: “Before you call I will answer, while you are still speaking, I will hear.”

Does God answer prayers?

Have you ever asked the question, why doesn’t prayer work? Why at times does it appear that God ignores us when we pray to Him. Many have prayed for God to intervene and solve a problem that they are struggling with, but sometimes God‘s apparent answer is silence.

God knows what’s best
Even when we feel that God is not answering our prayers, you can always know God is a God of love. The Bible tells us He loves us:

John 3:16. ‘”For God so LOVED the world”.
Jeremiah 31:3, “I have loved thee with an everlasting love.”.

God created us and knows infinitely more than we know. He knows what is best for us, and what would not be good for us. If you have children, when they were very small, sometimes they asked for things that would not be good for them, or would harm them. For good reasons sometimes parents do not always give their children what they ask for, when they ask for it. Parents give them what is best for them.

It is the same way in our prayers to God. God gives us what is best for us. We are God’s children and He gives us what is best for us, and at a time when it is best for us. Our lives must be right with God before He can answer our prayers.

Right way
God has certain conditions that must be met before our prayers can be answered. One of the first, is we feel our need of help from Him. Isaiah 44:3 says, “I will pour water upon him that is thirsty, and floods upon the dry ground.” The heart must be open to the Spirit’s influence, or God’s blessing cannot be received. One cannot pour water into a cup that is already full.

Right heart
If we have cherished sins in our lives, and refuse to give them up, or if we are doing things we should not be doing, and are disobeying Him, we cannot expect Him to answer our prayers. He cannot answer our prayers if we have sins in our lives that are unconfessed or if we are hanging on to cherished sins. Also, if we refuse to forgive others who have wronged us, God cannot hear us. (See Matthew 6:12 and Ephesians 4:32).

This is not saying you can earn God’s favor to answer your prayers, it will always be Jesus’s blood that makes us worthy; but we do need to do our part if God is going to work in our lives.

Pray without ceasing
One of the reasons we feel our prayers are not being answered, is because we stop praying. 1 Thessalonians 5:17 says it best, “pray without ceasing.” Paul is more direct in Philippians 4:6, “In everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God.”

In reality, we should not be worried so much about if God hears our prayers – He does and He does care. What we should be worried about is if because of temptations, hard times, and trials we get discouraged, and give up praying. In Luke 18:1, Jesus, “spoke a parable to them, that men always ought to pray and not lose heart.”

His time, His will
God is a God of love, and He is interested in every detail of our lives. He hears our prayers, and answers every sincere prayer if we meet His conditions. We must not expect that every answer will be “yes”, since we are sinners and do not always ask what is best for us. Sometimes His answer is “No’ and sometimes it is “wait.” (Hebrew 10:36) We need to end each prayer with, “Not my will but Your will.” Even if we are sincerely doing God’s will, and to the best of our ability, following His will for us, He may see that it is best for us not for Him to say “yes” at this time. We must continue trusting Him, regardless of His answer at the moment.

God’s timetable is not the same as ours. He knows better than we do when is the best time for our prayers to be answered. (See Hebrews 6 :13-15). God is eternal and does not measure time as we do. 2 Peter 3:8: “Beloved, do not forget this one thing, that with the Lord one day is as a thousand years, and a thousand years as one day.”

In the story of Abraham, God promised a son to Abraham. But Abraham became impatient when Sarah didn‘t bear him a son, so he took his wife’s servant as his wife. Abraham tried to solve the problem in his own way and the result was disastrous. We are still seeing the results of his mistake today. God eventually answered his prayer at the time when He saw it was best for Abraham.

For God to give us what we ask for, we must ask “according to His will.” Faith cannot take the place of “asking according to God’s will.” 1 John 5:14, “…if we ask anything according to His will, He hears us.” If you do not ask according to God’s will, it is not real faith in God. If God’s answer is “No” we still must be willing to wait patiently, and trust God to answer in his own way and in His timing.

Trust God, even though it may seem like prayer doesn’t work. Even though it may seem like at the moment He is not near and has abandoned you.

Isaiah 41:9,10:
“You whom I have taken from the ends of the earth, and called from its farthest regions, and said to you, You are my servant, I have chosen you, and have not cast you away. Fear not for I am with you; be not dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you,
Yes, I will help you, I will uphold you with My righteous right hand.”

If we have faith and sincerely trust God, we will not be concerned as to whether the answer is “wait” or the answer is “no” or “yes.” We must just trust, and wait and see if God in His timing will see fit to answer as we have requested, or perhaps He has something better in mind for us. Remember your prayer should end with “Not my will, Lord, but Your will.” (Luke 22:42). “Trust in the Lord with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding. In all thy ways acknowledge Him, and He shall direct thy paths.” Proverbs 3:5,6.

Would you like to know how to pray?

Pre Algebra Terms

Various terms are used in pre algebra like coefficient, variable, factor, expression, quotient, power, exponent, constant, integers and absolute values etc. Let us discuss some terms:

  • Coefficient is a numerical part of a variable term.
  • Variable represents one or more numbers.
  • Factor takes place when two numbers are multiplied.
  • Expression is mathematical sentence which contain more than one operation.
  • Quotient is an answer to a division problem.
  • Power is made up of an exponent.
  • Exponent is a number or a variable that represents the number of times a base is used as a factor in a repeated multiplication.

Formulas

List of pre algebra formulae is given below: Polynomial Factoring Formulas:

(x + y)$^2$ = $x^2 + y^2 + 2xy$

The value of x for the quadratic equation, $ax^2 + bx + c = 0$, $x \neq 0$ is

Area of a Square = Side $\times$ Side

Perimeter of Square = 4Side

Area of a rectangle = Length $\times$ Breadth

Perimeter of a rectangle = 2(Length+ Breadth)

Area of Triangle = $\frac<1><2>$ Base $\times$ Height

Area of a circle = 2$\pi r^2$, r = radius of the circle

Circumference of the Circle = 2$\pi$ r, r = radius of the circle

Sum of the angles in a polygon = (n – 2)180, n = sides of the polygon

Lets discuss some pre algebra equations with the help of examples.

Single step Addition And Subtraction Equations

Let us solve x – 4 = 0

$\Rightarrow$ x = 4.

Multi Step Equationscdd

Let us solve 4x – 12 = 0

$\Rightarrow$ 4x = 12 (by adding 12 both the sides)

$\Rightarrow$ x = $\frac<12><4>$ = 3 (divide each side by 4)

Let us solve x$^2$ + x – 6 = 0

$\Rightarrow$ x$^2$ + 3x – 2x – 6 = 0 (by factoring)

$\Rightarrow$ x(x + 3) – 2(x + 3) = 0

$\Rightarrow$ (x – 2)(x + 3) = 0

$\Rightarrow$ either x – 2 = 0 or x + 3 = 0

Examples

Given below are some of the problems of pre algebra:

Solved Examples

Question 1: Find the remainder when $x^3 – 2x^2 + 4x + 5$ is divided by $x – 3$.
Solution:

Let $P(x) = x^3 – 2x^2 + 4x + 5$

Step 1:

Put x – 3 = 0

$\Rightarrow$ x = 3

Step 2:

$P(3) = 3^3 – 2 \times 3^2 + 4 \times 3 + 5$

= 27 – 2 $\times$ 9 + 12 + 5

When P(x) is divided by (x – 3), then remainder is 26.

Question 2: Find a fraction such that if 2 is added to the numerator and 1 to the denominator, it reduces to $\frac<1><2>$ and becomes $\frac<3><5>$. if added 3 to the denominator.
Solution:

Let the fraction be $\frac$

Step 1:

Case 1:

When 2 is added to the numerator and 1 to the denominator it reduces to $\frac<1><2>$

2x – y + 3 = 0. (i)

Case 2:

Fraction becomes $\frac<3><5>$. if we add 3 to the denominator.

5x – 3y – 9 = 0. (ii)

Step 2:
Solve equation (i) and (ii).

Multiply equation (i) by 3 and subtract from (ii).

$\Rightarrow$ x = – 18

Plug the value of x in equation (i)

$\Rightarrow$ 2 $\times$ (-18) – y + 3 = 0

The required fraction is $\frac<18><33>$ .

Word Problems

Given below are some of the word problems on Pre Algebra.

Solved Examples

Question 1: If three times the square of a number is decreased by 10 and equals 15 more than 10 times the number, what is the number?
Solution:

Let the number be ‘x’.

Step 1:

The problem states that:
3(square of a number) – 10 = 10 $\times$ number + 15

$\Rightarrow$ 3x$^2$ – 10 = 10x + 15

$\Rightarrow$ 3x$^2$ – 10x = 15 + 10

$\Rightarrow$ 3x$^2$ – 10x = 25

3x$^2$ – 10x – 25 = 0

Which is quadratic equation

Step 2:

Solve for x, 3x$^2$ – 10x – 25 = 0

3x$^2$ – 10x – 25 = 0

$\Rightarrow$ 3x$^2$ – 15x + 5x – 25 = 0

$\Rightarrow$ 3x(x – 5) + 5(x – 5) = 0

$\Rightarrow$ (3x + 5)(x – 5) = 0

Step 3:

Either 3x + 5 = 0 or x – 5 = 0

$\Rightarrow$ 3x = – 5 or x = 5

$\Rightarrow$ x = $\frac<-5><3>$ or x = 5

Hence, the number is $\frac<-5><3>$ or 5.

Question 2: Find the largest of three consecutive odd integers, if the sum of the first and the third integers is 7 more than the second integer.
Solution:

Let the three consecutive odd integer be x, x + 2 and x + 4.
That is,
First integer = x
Second integer = x + 2
Third integer = x + 4

Step 1:

The problem states that:

Sum of the first and third integers = Second integer + 7

$\Rightarrow$ x + (x + 4) = (x + 2) + 7

$\Rightarrow$ x + x + 4 = x + 2 + 7

Step 2:

Combine the like terms:

$\Rightarrow$ 2x + 4 = x + 9

Subtract x from both side

$\Rightarrow$ 2x – x + 4 = x + 9 – x

$\Rightarrow$ x + 4 = 9

Subtract 4 from both sides

$\Rightarrow$ x + 4 – 4 = 9 – 4

$\Rightarrow$ x = 5, first integer.

Step 3:

Largest or third integer = x + 4 = 5 + 4 = 9

Hence, the largest integer is 9

Practice Problems

Given below are some of the practice problems on pre algebra.

Practice Problems

Question 1: Solve the quadratic equation 2x$^2$ – 7x – 15 = 0.

Question 2: If the height of a triangle is 15 cm and base is 12 cm, then find the area of the triangle.

Three Keys To Answered Prayer

And I say to you ask, and it shall be given to you; seek, and you shall find; knock, and it shall be opened to you (Luke 11:9).

Prayer is an essential part of our relationship with God. Yet, too often we neglect this vital bridge of communication with heaven. In many cases, we don’t pray because we don’t know exactly how to pray — or how often.

Jesus’ disciples clearly saw the effect that prayer had in His life. He spent large amounts of time in prayer, often by Himself. The disciples soon realized that the demonstration of God’s power and wisdom flowing from Jesus’ life directly resulted from the intimate fellowship He enjoyed with His Father.

When they asked Him to explain more to them about prayer, Jesus told them this story:

“Suppose one of you shall have a friend, and shall go to him at midnight, and say to him, ‘Friend, lend me three loaves; for a friend of mine has come to me from a journey, and I have nothing to set before him;’ and from inside he shall answer and say, ‘Do not bother me; the door has already been shut and my children and I are in bed; I cannot get up and give you anything.’ “I tell you, even though he will not get up and give him anything because he is his friend, yet because of his persistence he will get up and give him as much as he needs. “And I say to you ask, and it shall be given to you; seek, and you shall find; knock, and it shall be opened to you. For everyone who asks, receives; and he who seeks, finds; and to him who knocks, it shall be opened.” (Luke 11:5-10)

The three keys Jesus gives for seeing answers to prayer can be summed up as: Be persistent, be purposeful and be personal.

The first key to answered prayer is persistence — which means “to hold fast to,” or hold onto tightly. God wants us to hold on tightly to His promises in prayer. Don’t let disappointment cause you to let go of your faith.

The man in the parable didn’t give up when his neighbor turned down his initial request. Jesus pointed out that the neighbor wouldn’t get up and give him anything just because he was the man’s friend. But because of his persistence, he would eventually get up and give him what he needed.

The Greek language in Luke 11:10 can be translated, “ask and keep on asking and it shall be given you; seek and keep on seeking and you shall find; knock and keep on knocking and the door shall be opened to you.”

If we call on God, He promises to answer! But we must wait on the Lord and let Him answer our prayers in His perfect timing. Many times the greatest trial comes just before the answer arrives; it often seems darkest just before dawn.

The Bible says one of the reasons we haven’t received God’s best is that we haven’t asked Him (see James 4:2). But God wants us to share our hearts with Him. He wants children who are willing to dream His dreams.

The man in this story knew what he wanted and asked with a definite purpose.

Take your needs and concerns to the Lord in prayer. Dare to ask God for your desires. Psalm 37:4 says, “Delight yourself in the Lord; and He will give you the desires of your heart.” Allow God to expand your vision, and spend time in prayer so you’ll be prepared to receive the good things He has in store for you.

Maybe you are dealing with a broken relationship, overwhelming financial burdens, the frustration of ill health, or the salvation of a loved one. The Lord wants you to come to Him in faith about whatever is on your heart. And don’t just stop with your own needs. Ask God for a vision for your community, this nation and the world. Then, begin praying about the situations He impresses on your mind. Remember, the more you pray for the concerns on God’s heart, the more you will find your own needs being met.

The most important key to effective prayer is a personal relationship with our Heavenly Father. The man in the parable went to his friend when he needed help.

Two men in the Bible who are known for their great faith are Abraham and Moses. Both men enjoyed an intimate friendship with God. James 2:23 says of Abraham, “. he was called the friend of God,” and Exodus 33:11 says, “. the Lord used to speak to Moses face to face, just as a man speaks to his friend.” Both men saw God do great miracles in their lives.

But remember, it takes time to develop a close friendship. You can start by involving God in the details of your life and learning to recognize His faithfulness even in little everyday challenges and events. Develop a plan of Bible reading and prayer that works for you. Pray for family and friends who may not know Jesus. And be sure to thank Him when the answers come!

What a comfort to know that God loves us so deeply that He has given each of us an “open line” directly to Him whenever we need direction, comfort or strength. And His continuing promise to us is that He will answer our prayers!

ONLINE APTITUDE TESTS

Generally, aptitude tests are administered at a test centre and are assessed under strict time conditions. The purpose of the tests is to assess your ability to solve difficult and complex problems. The tests themselves are usually multiple choice in nature. Although many people try to guess any questions they are not sure of the answer, the answer options are usually very close in nature. Therefore, the ability to guess accurately on a consistent basis is unlikely. Examples of aptitude tests include verbal reasoning and numerical reasoning.

ABOUT APTITUDE TESTS

The good news about aptitude tests is that they have been designed so that you do not finish the entire test. There are plenty of questions with the exam and, whilst not impossible to fully complete the tests, it is unlikely that a candidate will complete them. Many test-takers panic when they see the number of tests in the exam, and as a result, they will start to get many of the questions wrong due to rushing. You should approach the tests in a composed manner and whilst speed is of the essence you should not detract from accuracy as you may lose marks for incorrect responses

HOW YOUR TEST RESULTS ARE USED

Aptitude test results can be used in many different ways. They can be used solely as part of a selection process or they can be used as part of an entire assessment centre. Many test administrators will also check your scores across the mean average scores from your group. Other assessment mediums in which aptitude tests are used alongside include interviews, group discussions, in-tray exercises and group tasks.

THE USE OF APTITUDE TESTS AS A SCREENING PROCESS

Aptitude tests are also used as an effective initial screening process, especially for more complex and technical posts such as banking where an ability to competently interpret numerical data is imperative. In this case you will normal find that you are required to take an online aptitude test and your scores will automatically be processed by the employer or test administrator to determine whether or not you will be invited to the next stage of the selection and assessment process.

When you purchase our Online Aptitude Tests suite you will get INSTANT access to 100s of different test questions ranging from Numerical Reasoning Tests through to Spatial Reasoning Tests. We frequently add new test questions to keep you fresh and challenged.

ONLINE APTITUDE TESTS TIPS

It is advisable that you take along your own calculator for the tests as the administrator may provide one that you are not familiar with. Because time is of the essence it is important that you use a calculator you know you can use quickly and effectively.

You will find that some verbal reasoning tests require you to answer the questions as True, False or Cannot say based on the information provided. Many test takes get caught out with these tests as they sometimes base their answers on their ‘knowledge’ of a subject matter as opposed to answering the questions based solely on the information provided.

It is very important to understand that accuracy is more important than completing the test. Many employers or test administrators will deduct marks for incorrect answers. You need to work quickly but you should not sacrifice speed for accuracy or results.

The homepage is clean and uncluttered. Right off the bat, you can narrow your search options with the menu on the left: your options are Images, Videos, Shopping, News, Maps, or Travel. You can also check out the rotating bits of information at the bottom of the homepage; there s also a Popular Now link that will show you what topics are currently getting the most buzz.

Bing Quick Preview

Bing Quick Preview.

The Bing Quick Preview is a great way for you to get an idea of what s on a site before you actually click on it. This is definitely a time saver, as many sites in search results don t necessarily offer exactly what you are looking for. Your search term is highlighted in the Quick Preview window, so you can see that yes, indeed, it is in that particular site s information.

Bing Instant Answers.

Bing s Instant Answers feature quickly grabs all the pertinent information that you need on your query. In this screenshot, you can see a quick flight status search; all you need is the flight number and you re good to go.

Bing Related Searches and Quick Tabs.

Any search you perform on Bing, for instance, U2 (as seen above), will come back with a wide variety of filtering options. For example, in this screenshot, the search was simply for U2 . You can see Bing s Quick Tabs option to the left there; this offers refinements and/or suggestions for your search, i.e. videos. songs, tickets, merchandise, etc.

This search initially started with U2, with a click on the Videos Quick Tab. You ll see screenshot previews of relevant videos, along with a neat video search filter there on the bottom left-hand side that sorts these videos according to length, screen size, resolution, or source.

Rich Listing Results

Bing Rich Listing Results.

One of my favorite things about Bing is the Rich Listing Results – another way to present for hey, what I wanted is all in one place! . For example, a search for a restaurant in Seattle doesn t just bring back multiple lists of links; you ll get a one-page resource including addresses, reviews, maps. driving directions. even photos.

Bing really starts to shine in its Travel search. I did a quick search for airfare from Portland, Oregon to Misawa, Japan, and here s what they gave me:

  • Non-stop or a few layovers option
  • Times I want to take off and land
  • A sliding scale for the price range I wanted
  • The option to compare prices in other travel search sites (Expedia, PriceLine, etc.)
  • The ability to track fares via email alerts; if my price goes down, I can grab the lower price.

In addition to flight information, you can also use Bing to search for hotels, cars, cruises, even package deals. In addition, you can frame searches for low fares across departure dates and looks at multiple routes in one map view: a nice way to figure out how you want to take that five-hour flight to Aunt Bessie s house.

Bing Image Search.

Finding images on Bing is a snap. My search for Cannon Beach images brought back multiple results, as expected, but the search filters found to the left made it easy to find exactly what I was looking for.

For example, I was able to search by size (small, medium, large, and the VERY convenient wallpaper so I can change the look of my desktop), layout, color or black and white, style (photograph or illustration), and people (just faces, head and shoulders, or other).

Another search for tennis brought back more generalized results, with the option (via the Quick Tabs) to narrow down or expand my search; in this case with related searches such as US Open, Wimbledon, and Serena Williams.

Bing Health Search.

We probably all share the experience of searching for a medical term in a search engine and getting back a ton of results that are either unreliable or unrelated. Bing tackles this problem with a carefully selected cadre of only nine – yes, only nine – trusted and verified medical resources (Mayo Clinic, Medicine.net, About.com, etc.). This makes it a lot easier to find results you can trust on nearly any health-related question you might have.

My search for carpal tunnel symptoms brought back an instant answer from the Mayo Clinic, with the option of related searches and medically approved articles as well – much better than slogging through a ton of links that might not be telling me what I need to know.

Online shopping is a major activity on the Web; in fact, more people today are shopping on the Web than ever before in history. Bing knows this and makes the shopping experience as easy and convenient as possible.

My search for ceiling fans returned results grouped by best match, best user ratings, or price. I had the option of following their related searches and search refinements on the left as well.

The best thing about this shopping search? Cash back, as in literal cash back in your pocket. Shop at the stores that you find here with the cashback option, and you ll make some money. Amazon s short-lived search engine A9.com did this with limited success way back when; I expect Bing to be much more successful.

Bing – Worth A Look

Bing delivers fresh, relevant, and easy to follow results, and is definitely user-friendly. The search channels (Travel, Shopping, Images, etc.) send you right to the resources you want, the various search refinements (Instant Answers, Rich Results, Quick Tabs) are actually quite useful and don t require a degree in computer science to figure out, and it s easy on the eyes (not too simple, not too cluttered).

The best thing about Bing? You don t have to go all over the Web to get what you re looking for. The search tool attempts to keep your search results all in one convenient place so you can see all the information you need at a glance (something that other search engines need to emulate). Overall, it is surprisingly innovative, filtering out the fluff on the Web so you can get to what you want. I highly recommend it.

HOW TO USE THE DICTIONARY

Learn what the dictionary tells you about words.

Some compound words (like bus rapid transit, dog whistle, or identity theft ) don’t appear on the drop-down list when you enter them into the search window. If a compound term doesn’t appear in the drop-down list, try entering the term into the search window and then hit the search button (instead of the “enter” key). Alternatively, begin searches for compound terms with a quotation mark.

Project

75,000 phonetic transcriptions

Requests for ports have steadily increased over the years. It is a natural consequence of the fragmentation of the operating system landscape brought about by the so-called mobile revolution. The technical costs involved have become significant.

We will continue providing TheSage for free, as we always have. From version 7 on, we also provide a professional edition for a small fee. We hope that English language lovers and casual users alike will appreciate the value of the project and see fit to support its continuing development on Windows and other platforms.

Screenshots

Full size screenshots can be found here.

Documentation

The full documentation is available here.

Documentation is always a work in progress as it is only useful when users are actually able to benefit from it.

We have compiled here the information that we believe will be of practical use. If you find that something merits being included or discussed in more detail, please use the contact form and we will adjust this document as appropriate.

What is TheSage?

It is best to think of TheSage as two different systems: a knowledge database and a multi-tool interface.

The knowledge database consists of a tightly integrated English dictionary and thesaurus. TheSage’s index contains roughly 250,000 words and its dictionary approximately 315,000 senses, 60,000 etymologies, 55,000 examples of use, and 75,000 phonetic transcriptions. TheSage’s thesaurus contains approximately 1,850,000 relationships between words and definitions, from synonyms and antonyms to hypernyms, hyponyms, meronyms, holonyms, etc.

The interface allows the user to extract and collect information from the knowledge database in a variety of ways. This is accomplished by means of the tools shown in the left Navigation panel.

TheSage has been designed to be used by language researchers and pedagogues seeking to carry out certain kinds of linguistic analyses. Please read this documentation carefully and contact us if you have any problems.

Despite the complexity of TheSage, using the dictionary is extremely simple. Casual users only need to type a word and press the Enter key. If the word exists, TheSage will display its senses, thesaurus, pronunciation, and other information. If the word does not exist, TheSage will provide suggestions and alternative spellings.

Journalists, translators, etc. might want to know that our approach is that of descriptive linguistics. Therefore, TheSage is not to be used to determine what the “correct” or “incorrect” use of the English language is. We are satisfied by describing how English speakers use the language.

HOW TO MEASURE HELMET SIZING

Your helmet fit is not only critical to the comfort and enjoyment of your helmet, it also plays a critical role in the performance of your helmet in the event of a collision. Never purchase or wear a helmet without ensuring a snug fit. There are several methods and tricks to size a helmet.

To measure your head size, wrap a cloth tape measure horizontally around your head about one inch above your eyebrows and ears. This will measure the largest portion of your head.

Select the helmet size that is closest to your head size. Often times your head measurement may fall between two helmet sizes. When this occurs you should first try the smaller size.

When wearing a helmet, it should be snug. If it is not snug, it is too big for you. With the helmet on and chin strap fastened, if you can move the helmet easily from side to side and up and down without moving your head, the helmet is too big. Try a size smaller.

Be aware that different helmets fit different head shapes. A helmet that will fit one person perfectly may not fit another person with the same size head, due to the shapes of their heads being different

HOW TO MEASURE JACKET SIZING

Sleeve
Start with measuring your sleeve length. With your arm slightly bent, start from your neck bone, measure over your shoulder and elbow points, and end at the wrist bone. This is also called Center Back (CB) Sleeve length.

Center Back (CB) Length
The Center Back Length is the measurement from your neck bone, down your spine to your waist.

Chest
Next measure your chest. You will want the total circumference of your chest at it’s largest point. Stand straight with your arms out, and measure under your arm pits, across the breast bone with arms relaxed. Make sure the tape measure is parallel with the floor.

HOW TO MEASURE PANT SIZING

Waist
Stand in a mirror and bend to one side. Where your body creases is your natural waist. Measure around your natural waist line while keeping the tape measure parallel with the floor. Relax when taking the measurement.

Hip
The hip measurement is the total circumference at your hip’s largest point. Keep tape measure parallel to the floor, and relax when taking measurement.

Inseam
The inseam is the total length of the inside seam from your crotch to your ankle. Stand straight, but relax when taking measurement.

Outseam
The outseam is the length of the outside seam from your waist to your ankle.

HOW TO MEASURE GLOVES SIZING

To find the proper size gloves, measure the circumference around your dominant hand, across your palm and just behind your knuckles, not including your thumb. If the measured size of your hand is in between sizes of the gloves that interest you, choose the size larger if you want a loose fit and the smaller size if you like a tighter fit. Remember that leather gloves will break in and stretch after some use.

HOW TO MEASURE BOOT SIZING

Some boots are sized in typical US measurements, while others are sized to European specs. Please view the size chart of the boots you want to order to find the proper size conversion. If you typically wear a half size, order the next size larger for boots that are only offered in full sizes.

If – To be or not to be – is the question, what is the answer? #physics #problems #and #answers

#question answer

#

Shakespeare chose to be.

Let’s go back to the original text, Shakespeare’s Hamlet. He is highly intellectual, emotionally sensitive, and extremely distraught by his father’s death and his uncle marrying his mother. In this speech, knife in hand, he is contemplating suicide. “To be” means to stay alive and take action. “Not to be” means suicide, right here, right now. And it specifically means not suicide or sacrifice to make a point (martyrdom), but cowardly suicide to avoid the issue.

Hamlet chooses to be, to stay alive and take action. The tragic result is that both the evildoers (his uncle the fratricide and regicide, in particular) and also the good, including Hamlet and his innocent beloved Ophelia, die. But that tragic result is better than what would have happened if Hamlet had killed himself, which would have been horrific. Horror is worse than tragedy. Horror is when the good dies, and evil wins and lives.

So, in tragic circumstances, the answer is, “to be.” To put it crassly, stand up for what is right. If you die, you can take the bad guys with you when you go.

And what if life is a comedy? Then “to be” is definitely better. You will end up happily married, and the bad guys will get the boot.

So, consistently throughout Shakespeare’s work, whether he presented life as tragedy, comedy, or romance, the choice of suicide was not the right choice. I’ll go with the Bard: Whatever life brings our way, our choice is to be, and to face the evils of the world and do our best.

yes, your question has got two answers within-built in;and which i opt is the real question? right?

Though “‘to be “‘is the truth, the reality, and the origin and your expected answer as well, there can be situations at times “not to be” should be an answer.

Hamlett was turboiled to conclude it -”to be OR not to be” at a particular junction in that play…

Therewere occasions when we ask ourselves-what is the answer;i have to be or not ?

Without any concern of any situation,if asked ,to be or not to be ,THERE IS JUST ONE ANSWERE and that is TO BE.

In life, many times i had to keep “not to be” as a policy infront of negativities just showed up at times.

so that can be, as well, if considering situations, circumstances, occasions, and ettiquette

PRO-BOOT MX Boot Resole Repair

Got a pair of Thor, Fox, Alpinestars, Gaerne, O’Neal, Hi-Point, or other motocross boots that are still in great shape but the soles are worn out? We can put new soles on them! For $99 plus shipping, we will put on new Gaerne SG10 soles and toe caps, just like you see in the photos above. Guaranteed work and quick turnaround. We can do all boots that have a welt sole, this is a boot that has stitching around the top side of the sole like all the boots you see in the photos. We don’t do molded soles like Tech 10’s have.

Here’s the process to get your boots done:
1. WASH YOUR BOOTS! If your boots are too dirty to work on, we will have to charge you $20 to have them washed and it will add at least a day to the time we have them here. If your boots have inner booties, like Tech 8’s, remove these.
2. Print out PDF form below, fill it out, and put it inside one of the boots. DON’T FORGET THIS PART!
3. Box them up and ship them to:
Pro-Boot
320 W. Broadway – #2
Plainview, MN 55964

If you are in a time crunch, be sure to call first to get a time estimate. We will typically have your boots 3-4 business days once we receive them. Return shipping within the continental U.S. is in the $20 -$30 range for UPS ground. USPS Priority Mail may cost slightly more but may be quicker. Plan ahead, you’re probably going to be without your boots for at least one weekend because of the shipping time involved in both directions. Next Day and 2-day shipping is crazy expensive on a box this size so it would be best to pick a week when you know you’re not riding or have some backup boots lined up during this time.

Even if your boot looks like this, we can fix it!!

Mid-Sole patched and stitched

New sole installed

Before
Footpeg Damage

After
Plastic welded, midsole patched and stitched, and new sole installed

WHAT IS IT? A fountain of youth for motocross boots in the form of Pro Boot’s resoling and repair service.

WHAT’S IT COST? $99.00, plus shipping.

CONTACT? www.pro-bootmx.com or (800) 548-8354.

WHAT STANDS OUT? Here’s a list of things that stand out with Pro Boot’s resole and repair.

(1) Application. Pro Boot can only resole stitched (welted) sole boots. Bonded soles and molded sole-boot wearers are out of luck with Pro Boot. We sent Pro Boot beat-up SixSixone Flight and Fox F3 boots. Call Pro Boot beforehand to be certain your boots can be resoled.

(2) Boot chassis. To get the best value from a resole, the boot chassis must hold up for the lifespan of the soles. Take note of the condition of the parts on your boots. The buckles, insoles and toe caps can usually be replaced. Plus, Pro Boot can do a lot of minor leather repair. Overall degradation of the body of the boot, however, can’t be fixed. Pay attention to how much support the boot offers, because if the upper is worn out, there is no fix for that. Before shipping your boots, take note of the condition of all the boot’s materials. It’s not worth the money to resole and repair a low-quality boot.

(3) Cobbler. You might be asking, “Why should I waste time and money shipping my boots across the country when I can just drop them off at the local cobbler?” In MXA’s pursuit to inform our readers about the best deals possible, we did just that. Resoling a motocross boot is trickier than resoling your average loafers, and it takes a skilled cobbler to do a proper job. Local cobblers can be a gamble. We did take a set of Gaerne SG10s to a local shoe-repair shop to check the service. We spent $100, plus $30 for Gaerne soles, and got two rides out of our resoled SG10s before they started delaminating. Pro Boot guarantees their work. If a sole were to delaminate, they would resole it for free.

(4) Gaerne. The ideal sole must be durable, but still grip the footpeg well. Pro Boot made a good decision to use Gaerne soles on all the boots they repair (regardless of the brand of the boot). A set of replacement soles from Gaerne costs $30. Pro Boot specializes in Gaernes. They carry a lot of Gaerne replacement parts and can do a full-service job on your SG10s or SG12s.

(5) Repairs. Pro Boot can do boot repairs beyond just the sole, including stitching and gluing. If a boot is chewed through to the mid-sole, don’t give up; Pro Boot can fill it in and resole the boot. If plastic is pulled away from the leather boot at the ankle where it flexes, it can be glued back in place. If buckle straps are torn, they can be restitched. Pro Boot does minor mid-sole fill-ins and gluing for free as a courtesy. More time-consuming repairs require an additional charge once Pro Boot takes a look. Typical repairs might cost $25.

WHAT’S THE SQUAWK? Our only complaint wasn’t with Pro Boot but with shipping, which took four or five business days each way. Even though Pro Boot executed a next-day turnaround with our boots, we didn’t get them in time to race on the weekend. Plan the resole at a time when you won’t ride for two weekends. You could second-day air ship your boots, but the total cost on a repair should not exceed the cost of new boots.

Our Pro Boot-repaired boots held up well. Pro Boot’s resole is a smart option for a frugal racer, or a racer who loves the broken-in feel of his old boots and doesn’t want to start over again with new boots.

How To Pray? See What Prayers God Answers – How Prayer Works #math #questions #answered

Does God Answer Our Prayers?

How to pray? What does it take for God to answer prayers?

Have you ever known someone who really trusts God? When I was an atheist, I had a good friend who prayed often. She would tell me every week about something she was trusting God to take care of. And every week I would see God do something unusual to answer her prayer. Do you know how difficult it is for an atheist to observe this week after week? After a while, “coincidence” begins to sound like a very weak argument.

So why would God answer my friend’s prayers? The biggest reason is that she had a relationship with God. She wanted to follow God. And she actually listened to what he said. In her mind, God had the right to direct her in life, and she welcomed him doing just that! When she prayed for things, it was a natural part of her relationship with God. She felt very comfortable coming to God with her needs, her concerns, and whatever issues were current in her life. Furthermore, she was convinced, from what she read in the Bible, that God wanted her to rely on him like that.

She pretty much exhibited what this statement from the Bible says, “This is the confidence we have in approaching God: that if we ask anything according to his will, he hears us.” 1 “For the eyes of the Lord are on the righteous and his ears are attentive to their prayer. ” 2

So, Why Doesn’t God Answer Everyone’s Prayers?

It may be because they don’t have a relationship with God. They may know that God exists, and they might even worship God from time to time. But those who never seem to have their prayers answered probably don’t have a relationship with him. Further, they have never received from God complete forgiveness for their sin. What does that have to do with it you ask? Here is an explanation. “Surely the arm of the Lord is not too short to save, nor his ear too dull to hear. But your iniquities have separated you from your God. Your sins have hidden his face from you, so that he will not hear.” 3

It’s pretty natural to feel that separation from God. When people begin to ask God for something, what usually takes place? They begin with, “God, I really need your help with this problem. ” And then there’s a pause, followed by a restart. “I realize that I’m not a perfect person, that I actually have no right to ask you for this. ” There’s an awareness of personal sin and failure. And the person knows that it’s not just them; that God is aware of it too. There’s a feeling of, “Who am I kidding?” What they may not know is how they can receive God’s forgiveness for all their sin. They might not know that they can come into a relationship with God so that God will hear them. This is the foundation for God answering your prayer.

How to Pray: The Foundation

You must first begin a relationship with God. Here’s why. Imagine that a guy named Mike asks the president of Princeton University to co-sign a car loan for him. If Mike doesn’t personally know the president of Princeton, that car loan is not going to happen. Yet, if the daughter of this president asked her dad to co-sign a car loan for her, it would be no problem. Relationship matters.

With God, when the person is actually a child of God, when the person belongs to God, he knows them and hears their prayers. Jesus said, “I am the good shepherd. I know my sheep and my sheep know me. my sheep listen to my voice. I know them and they follow me. I give them eternal life and they shall never perish; no one can snatch them out of my hand.” 4

When it comes to God then, do you really know him and does he know you? Do you have a relationship with him that warrants God answering your prayers? Or is God pretty distant, pretty much just a concept in your life? If God is distant, or you’re not sure that you know God, here is how you can begin a relationship with him right now: Getting Connected .

Will God Definitely Answer Your Prayer?

For those who do know him and rely on him, Jesus seems to be wildly generous in his offer: “If you remain in me and my words remain in you, ask whatever you wish, and it will be given you.” 5 To “remain” in him and have his words remain in them means they conduct their lives aware of him, relying on him, listening to what he says. Then they’re able to ask him whatever they want. Here is another qualifier: “This is the confidence we have in approaching God: that if we ask anything according to his will, he hears us. And if we know that he hears us — whatever we ask — we know that we have what we asked of him.” 6 God answers our prayers according to his will (and according to his wisdom, his love for us, his holiness, etc.).

Where we trip up is assuming we know God’s will, because a certain thing makes sense to us! We assume that there is only one right “answer” to a specific prayer, assuming certainly THAT would be God’s will. And this is where it gets tough. We live within the limits of time and limits of knowledge. We have only limited information about a situation and the implications of future action on that situation. God’s understanding is unlimited. How an event plays out in the course of life or history is only something he knows. And he may have purposes far beyond what we could even imagine. So, God is not going to do something simply because we determine that it must be his will.

What Does It Take? What is God Inclined to Do?

Pages and pages could be filled about God’s intentions toward us. The entire Bible is a description of the kind of relationship God wants us to experience with him and the kind of life he wants to give us. Here are just a few examples:

“. the Lord longs to be gracious to you. He rises to show you compassion. For the Lord is a God of justice. Blessed are all who wait for [trust] him!” 7 Did you catch that? Like someone rising out of his chair to come to your help, “He rises to show you compassion.” “As for God, his way is perfect. He is a shield for all who take refuge in him.” 8 “The Lord delights in those who fear [reverence] him, who put their hope in his unfailing love.” 9

However, God’s greatest display of his love and commitment to you is this: Jesus said, “Greater love has no one than this, that he lay down his life for his friends,” 10 which is what Jesus did for us. And so, “If God is for us, who can ever be against us? Since God did not spare even his own Son but gave him up for us all, won’t God, who gave us Christ, also give us everything else?” 11

What about “Unanswered” Prayer?

Certainly people get sick, even die; financial problems are real, and all sorts of very difficult situations can come up. What then?

God tells us to give our concerns to him. Even as the situation remains dismal, “Cast all your anxiety on him, because he cares for you.” 12 The circumstances may look out of control, but they aren’t. When the whole world seems to be falling apart, God can keep us together. This is when a person can be very grateful that they know God. “The Lord is near. Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all comprehension, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.” 13 God may provide solutions, resolutions to the problem WAY beyond what you imagined possible. Probably any Christian could list examples like this in their own lives. But if the circumstances do not improve, God can still give us his peace in the midst of it. Jesus said, “Peace I leave with you; my peace I give to you; not as the world gives do I give to you. Do not let your heart be troubled, nor let it be fearful.” 14

It is at this point (when circumstances are still tough) that God asks us to continue to trust him — to “walk by faith, not by sight” the Bible says. But it’s not blind faith. It is based on the very character of God. A car traveling on the Golden Gate Bridge is fully supported by the integrity of the bridge. It doesn’t matter what the driver may be feeling, or thinking about, or discussing with someone in the passenger seat. What gets the car safely to the other side is the integrity of the bridge, which the driver was willing to trust.

In the same way, God asks us to trust his integrity, his character. his compassion, love, wisdom, righteousness on our behalf. He says, “I have loved you with an everlasting love, therefore I have continued my faithfulness to you.” 15 “Trust in him at all times, O people. Pour out your heart before him. God is a refuge for us.” 16

In Summary. How to Pray

God has offered to answer the prayers of his children (those who have received him into their lives and seek to follow him). He asks us to take any concerns to him in prayer and he will act upon it according to his will. As we deal with difficulties we are to cast our cares on him and receive from him a peace that defies the circumstances. The basis for our hope and faith is the character of God himself. The better we know him, the more apt we are to trust him.

For more on the character of God, please see “Who is God?” or other articles on this site. The reason we pray is God’s character. The first prayer God answers is your prayer to begin a relationship with God.

Definition

An antonym is a word having a meaning opposite to that of another word, such as hot and cold. short and tall. (See Three Types of Antonyms, below.) Antonym is the antonym of synonym. Adjective: antonymous. Another word for antonym is counterterm .

Antonymy is the sense relation that exists between words which are opposite in meaning. Edward Finnegan defines antonymy as a binary relationship between terms with complementary meanings (Language: Its Structure and Use. 2012).

It s sometimes said that antonymy occurs most often among adjectives. but as Steven Jones et al. point out, it s more accurate to say that antonym relations are more central to the adjective classes than to other classes (Antonyms in English. 2012). Nouns can be antonyms (for example, courage and cowardice ), as can verbs (arrive and depart ), adverbs (carefully and carelessly ), and even prepositions (above and below ).

  • Air density decreases as altitude increases.
  • Opposition and Parallelism
Factors that contribute to particularly good antonym pairings may relate to more than just the two items semantic oppositeness; for instance, the pairing of increase and decrease is supported by their rhyme and the perception of a parallel morphology. as well as their semantic opposition.
(Steven Jones et al. Antonyms in English: Construals, Constructions and Canonicity. Cambridge University Press, 2012)
  • Three Types of Antonyms
Linguists identify three types of antonymy. (1) Gradable antonyms. which operate on a continuum: (very ) big. (very ) small. Such pairs often occur in binomial phrases with and. (blow ) hot and cold. (search ) high and low. (2) Complementary antonyms. which express an either/or relationship: dead or alive. male or female. (3) Converse or relational antonyms. expressing reciprocity: borrow or lend. buy or sell. wife or husband .
(Tom McArthur, Antonym. The Oxford Companion to the English Language. Oxford Univ. Press, 1992)

(1) Gradable Antonyms
Gradable antonyms include pairs like the following: beautiful – ugly
expensive – cheap
fast – slow
hot – cold
increase – decrease
long – short
love – hate
rich – poor
sweet – sour
wide- narrow These pairs are called gradable antonyms because they do not represent an either-or relation but rather a more-less relation. The words can be viewed as terms at the end-points of a continuum or gradient. The more/less relation is evident in a number of ways: the terms allow comparison, e.g. My arm is longer/shorter than yours, I love a good book more than a good meal ; the adjectives can be modified by intensifying adverbs, e.g. very long, extremely hot, extraordinarily beautiful .
(Howard Jackson and Etienne Zé Amvela, Words, Meaning and Vocabulary: An Introduction to Modern English Lexicology. Continuum, 2000)

(2) Complementary Antonyms
Complementary antonyms are another subtype of antonymy: if you are one, you cannot be the other; these are absolute opposites. That is, if you are dead, you cannot also be alive; if you are asleep, you are not awake, and so on. Similar pairs of this sort include legal/illegal and beginning/end .
(Kristin Denham and Anne Lobeck, Linguistics for Everyone: An Introduction. 2nd ed. Wadsworth, 2013)

(3) Converse or Relational Antonyms
The pairs above:below, before:after, precede:follow, buy:sell, and lend:borrow exemplify this category. Converses are sometimes called relational opposites. They all express relationships between two (or more) people or things. Take, for instance, buy and sell. Brian sold the car to Michael and Michael bought the car from Brian both indicate that a particular transaction has taken place. But the first sentence highlights Brian s role in the proceedings, while the second focuses on Michael.
(N. E. Collinge, An Encyclopaedia of Language. Routledge, 1990)

  • The Lighter Side of Antonyms
A man in the Land of the Houyhnhnms,
    Had a large collection of antohnhnms ;
He would say, This is great!
They re in pairs, so they mate,
Unlike synohnhnms. and, of course, homohnhnms .

The tanks of moto footwear, dirt bike boots are purpose-built to handle rigours of off-road riding by providing beefy levels of support and protection. Typically much stiffer than other boots, motocross boots are full height, giving the rider protection from toe to tibia. Buckles are built to take a beating and allowing easy access even when caked with mud and debris. Since sliding is not really a concern in the dirt, protection is focused on injuries that occur from impacts and sudden stops. Shin plates and reinforced toe boxes protect riders from pegs, branches, kick starters and other hazards common to MX bikes. Robust ankle protection secures the rider s foot, preventing torsion as well as impact related injuries. Soles are designed specifically to interface with the serrated pegs of off-road bikes while leather or rubber panels on the inside of the boots guard against exhaust burns and give you better grip on the bike when standing up.

    Updated August 25, 2016.

Biology is a wondrous science that inspires us to discover more about the world around us. While science may not have the answers to every question, some biology questions are answerable. Have you ever wondered why DNA is twisted or why some sounds make your skin crawl? Discover answers to these and other intriguing biology questions.

DNA is known for its familiar twisted shape. This shape is often described as a spiral staircase or twisted ladder. DNA is a nucleic acid with three main components: nitrogenous bases, deoxyribose sugars, and phosphate molecules. Interactions between water and the molecules that compose DNA cause this nucleic acid to take on a twisted shape. This shape aids in the packing of DNA into chromatin fibers, which condense to form chromosomes. The helical shape of DNA also makes DNA replication and protein synthesis possible. When necessary, the double helix unwinds and opens to allow DNA to be copied. More

Nails scraping against a chalkboard is one of ten most hated sounds. Tamara Staples/Stone/Getty Images

Nails on a chalk board, squealing brakes, or a crying baby are all sounds that can make one s skin crawl. Why does this happen? The answer involves how the brain processes sounds. When we detect a sound, sound waves travel to our ears and the sound energy is converted to nerve impulses. These impulses travel to the auditory cortex of the brain s temporal lobes for processing. Another brain structure, the amygdala. heightens our perception of the sound and associates it with a particular emotion, such as fear or unpleasantness. These emotions can illicit a physical response to certain sounds, such as goose bumps or a sensation that something is crawling over your skin. More

The primary characteristic that differentiates eukaryotic cells from prokaryotic cells is the cell nucleus. Eukaryotic cells have a nucleus that is surrounded by a membrane, which separates the DNA within from the cytoplasm and other organelles. Prokaryotic cells do not have a true nucleus in that the nucleus is not surrounded by a membrane. Prokaryotic DNA is located in an area of the cytoplasm called the nucleoid region. Prokaryotic cells are typically much smaller and less complex than eukaryotic cells. Examples of eukaryotic organisms include animals. plants. fungi and protists (ex. algae ). More

Fingerprints are patterns of ridges that form on our fingers, palms, toes, and feet. Fingerprints are unique, even among identical twins. They are formed while we are in our mother s womb and are influenced by several factors. These factors include genetic makeup, position in the womb, amniotic fluid flow, and umbilical cord length. Fingerprints are formed in the innermost layer of the epidermis known as the basal cell layer. Rapid cell growth in the basal cell layer causes this layer to fold and form various patterns. More

While both bacteria and viruses are capable of making us sick, they are very different microbes. Bacteria are living organisms that produce energy and are capable of independent reproduction. Viruses are not cells but particles of DNA or RNA encased within a protective shell. They do not possess all of the characteristics of living organisms. Viruses must rely on other organisms in order to reproduce because they do not possess the organelles needed to replicate. Bacteria are typically larger than viruses and susceptible to antibiotics. Antibiotics do not work against viruses and viral infections. More

In almost every culture, women usually out live men. While several factors can influence the life expectancy differences between men and women, genetic makeup is considered to be the major reason women live longer than men. Mitochondrial DNA mutations cause males to age faster than females. Since mitochondrial DNA is only inherited from mothers, mutations that occur in female mitochondrial genes are monitored to filter out dangerous mutations. Male mitochondrial genes are not monitored so the mutations accumulate over time. More

Animal cells and plant cells are both eukaryotic cells with a number of common characteristics. These cells also differ in a number of characteristics such as size, shape, energy storage, growth, and organelles. Structures found in plant cells and not animal cells include a cell wall. plastids, and plasmodesmata. Centrioles and lysosomes are structures that are found in animal cells but not usually in plant cells. While plants are capable of generating their own food through photosynthesis. animals must obtain nutrition through ingestion or absorption. More

Is it okay to apply the 5-second rule to foods that fall on the floor? Studies suggest that there is some truth to the 5-second rule. David Woolley/Digital Vision/Getty Images

The 5-second rule is based on the theory that food that has been dropped on the floor for a brief period of time does not pick up many germs and is safe to eat. This theory is somewhat true in that the less time food is in contact with a surface, the fewer bacteria are transferred to the food. Several factors play a role in the level of contamination that may occur once food has been dropped on the floor or other surface. These factors include the texture of the food (soft, sticky, etc.) and the type of surface (tile, carpet, etc.) involved. It is always best to avoid eating food that has a high risk of contamination, such as food that has been dropped in the trash. More

Mitosis and meiosis are cell division processes that involve the division of a diploid cell. Mitosis is the process by which somatic cells (body cells ) reproduce. Two identical daughter cells are produced as a result of mitosis. Meiosis is the process by which gametes (sex cells) are formed. This two-part cell division process produces four daughter cells that are haploid. In sexual reproduction. the haploid sex cells unite during fertilization to form a diploid cell. More

    COS-C EXAM – UPDATE for OASIS-C2

    OASIS Answers – Tuesday, September 06, 2016

Established in 2004, the Certificate for OASIS Specialist-Clinical (COS-C) Exam is the premier nationally standardized, psychometrically validated test that evaluates a clinician s knowledge of CMS OASIS guidance.

Effective October 1, 2016, ALL COS-C Exams administered at computer-based testing sites or via proctored paper and pencil administrations will utilize a new exam updated for OASIS-C2 (effective January 1, 2017). The OASIS-C1/ICD-10 version of the exam will not be available by any testing means after September 30, 2016.

Candidates taking the COS-C Exam in the month of October 2016 should be aware that the reporting of exam results will be delayed in order to allow OASIS Answers to define and set a fair and equitable criterion-referenced passing score for this updated exam version.

Completion of the process relies on analysis of data from a sufficient number of OASIS-C2 candidates and input from a group of OASIS Subject Matter Experts, under the direction of the Exam Psychometrician. OASIS Answers expects to have sufficient data collected to allow analysis and validation by November 1, 2016, and expects that exam results for candidates testing in October will be mailed by November 21, 2016.

Candidates achieving a successful result on either version of the Exam (OASIS-C1/ICD-10 or OASIS-C2) will be awarded the COS-C designation. The designation is valid for three years, with retesting prior to expiration required for renewal.

Thank you for your commitment to OASIS accuracy.

    New Codes and Fireworks!

    OASIS Answers – Tuesday, July 26, 2016

It s that time of year again time to celebrate our independence as a nation while we recognize our dependence on accurate coding information. Consider this Sparklers with Sparkle time. Get comfy and let me fill you in on the latest coding excitement.

Each year right around this time the Cooperating Parties in charge of these coding systems announce the revisions, additions deletions to the diagnostic codeset. This year s changes to the ICD-10-CM codeset can be seen at the CDC s website at: http://www.cdc.gov/nchs/icd/icd10cm.htm . While the preliminary list of changes was posted earlier this year, the final list was just recently posted at both the CDC s CMS websites.

Since we ve been in a partial code freeze for the last several years awaiting the implementation of ICD-10, there are massive changes stored up this year. Not only have there been just a few absolutely essential changes for the past several years, but switching to a new system created some unforeseen obstacles incongruities that had to be resolved as we put the new codeset into widespread use.

I just want to say thank you Lord because I prayed that He would keep my mom alive, and I’m only 14 so I would be lost without her. Thank you God and bless you!

For ten years I had a neighbor who lived in the building next door to me. Now to Him who is able to do immeasurably more than all we ask or imagine, according to His power that is at work within us, to Him be glory in the church and in Christ Jesus throughout all generations, for ever and ever! Amen.

My tongue will speak of your righteousness and of your praises all day long.

    Five Ways God Answers Prayer #mad #gab #phrases #and #answers

    #i need a prayer answered

    #

Over the years, I ve discovered from Scripture and experience that God loves to answer our prayers. Here are five of his most frequent answers:

No, I love you too much.

The Lord of the universe isn t under obligation to say yes to every prayer. That s a good thing, considering some of the things we request!

But sometimes God says no to our most heartfelt requests. Have you discovered this to be true in your own life? I certainly have. When my friend Diane started losing her hearing. When my mother-in-law came down with polio. When my nephew contracted AIDS.

I would be known as Luis Palau, Jr. if it weren t for the fact that God said no to my most earnest childhood prayers. Shortly after my tenth birthday, my father, Luis Palau Sr. contracted bronchial pneumonia and died ten days later.

Death became, to me, the most undeniable reality under heaven. Everything else can be rationalized and wondered about and discussed, but death is there, staring you in the face. It happens. Even to the most godly people. No matter how hard we pray. Why? Because we still live in a fallen world.

I ve been reminded of this repeatedly since the September 11, 2001, terrorist attacks on America. Tens of thousands of lives were spared. But God said no to the prayers of thousands of others. Will good come of their deaths? I believe so.

Without a doubt, the death of my father has had more impact on my ministry than anything else in my entire life, besides my own conversion to Jesus Christ. My wish and desire is that people get right with God, settle the big question, and die knowing like my father that they will be with Jesus, which is better by far (Phil. 1:23 ).

Does that mean we shouldn t bother to pray? Just the opposite. Over the years, traveling throughout the world, I ve discovered four other ways God frequently answers prayer. Believe me, he loves to say yes!

Yes, but you ll have to wait.

Immediate answers to prayer: You want them. I want them. But God simply does not always work that way. And to get his best, we must be patient. In some cases, we must wait until the stroke of midnight for his answer to come.

Phil Callaway didn t know what to say when his young children asked if Mommy was going to die. His wife, Ramona, suffered horrible seizures.

Hundreds of friends and relatives prayed, but Ramona s condition worsened. Medical specialists tried everything, but by the fall of 1996, the seizures were occurring daily, sometimes hourly.

Phil rarely left Ramona s side. He wondered if she would even make it to her 30th birthday. One evening, when things looked utterly hopeless, Phil paced their dark back yard, then fell to his knees. God! he cried out. I can t take it anymore. Please do something!

Suddenly a doctor s name came to mind. Phil called the doctor, who saw Ramona the next morning and diagnosed a rare chemical deficiency.

Within a week, Ramona s seizures ended. Her eyes sparkled again. The miracle was so incredible Phil says, God gave me back my wife.

Ask and it will be given to you; seek and you will find; knock and the door will be opened to you (Matt. 7:7 ).

Yes, but not what you expected.

Have you ever asked God to use you? If so, expect the unexpected!

NFL running back Sherman Smith, the Sherman Tank, stood six feet four inches tall and packed 225 pounds of the most solid muscle you d ever want to tackle. His reputation for bowling over defensive linemen raised his celebrity to near-cult status in the Pacific Northwest, where he played for the Seattle Seahawks.

3 Examples Of Answered Prayers In The Bible

When I first started thinking about the subject for this article, I wondered how I could keep my examples of answered prayer to only three. The entire Bible is one long story of the prayers of God’s people and how He answered them – and is still answering them today. So after much thought, I picked three instances – one from the Old Testament, two from the New Testament – of specific times when someone prayed and their prayers were answered.

First of all, let’s define “prayer.” According to Merriam-Webster, prayer is “an address (as a petition) to God in word or thought.” To pray is to talk to God, whether giving Him praise, thanksgiving, or expressing your needs or desires. So here are three examples from the Bible of people who praised God, thanked God, or asked Him for something, and saw their prayers answered.

1 Kings 17:21-22 (ESV) Then he stretched himself upon the child three times and cried to the Lord, O Lord my God, let this child s life come into him again. And the Lord listened to the voice of Elijah. And the life of the child came into him again, and he revived.

Elijah was an Old Testament prophet of God. He did many wondrous works for God, some of which made him popular among people, other times he was less than popular. But he knew that whether his deeds were popular or not, he must obey God’s commands. But just as Elijah listened to God’s voice, God himself listened to Elijah. Their relationship was one that in the Old Testament was reserved for priests and prophets, but today is available to anyone who accepts Jesus into their life.

In these verses from 1 Kings, Elijah had been staying with a widow woman and her son. He had already blessed the widow and proven himself as a man of God by miraculously causing her food not to run out, so that the widow, her son, and Elijah could all eat during a time of famine and drought. But during his stay, the widow’s son became ill and died. When Elijah prayed for the child’s life to return to him, God answered right away. This is a dramatic, immediate instance of God answering prayer.

Luke 1:47-50 (ESV) and my spirit rejoices in God my Savior, for he has looked on the humble estate of his servant. For behold, from now on all generations will call me blessed; for he who is mighty has done great things for me, and holy is his name. And his mercy is for those who fear him from generation to generation.

This is Mary’s song of praise to God, sometimes referred to as the Magnificat. This is during the time that she is pregnant with Jesus and goes to visit her cousin Elizabeth, who is pregnant with John (who grows up to be John the Baptist). When Elizabeth tells Mary that at the sound of her greeting “ the baby in my womb leaped for joy” (Luke 1:44), Mary then gives a prayer of praise to God.

Praise, worship, and thanksgiving are forms of prayer. But in this prayer, Mary also does make a request of sorts; she says “…from now on all generations will call me blessed.” This is not something that is possible for Mary to accomplish by herself – it’s not within her power alone to be blessed, or to have succeeding generations remember her and call her blessed. God listened to her prayer, and today, two thousand years later, God is still answering her prayer because we still remember Mary’s name and honor her for what she did.

Matthew 26:39 (ESV) And going a little farther he fell on his face and prayed, saying, My Father, if it be possible, let this cup pass from me; nevertheless, not as I will, but as you will.’

This is a prayer of Jesus. While he was on the earth, Jesus set the example of how we should talk to God by saying prayers himself. This particular prayer was done in Gethsemane, the night that he was betrayed and arrested. He knew what was going to happen. In this prayer, Jesus pleads with his Father to avoid the torture and death that he knew awaited him.

But Jesus knew that there wasn’t a way to avoid what was coming, no matter how much he dreaded it. And so he ended his prayer with a statement of complete obedience to God: “…not as I will, but as you will.” This is the part of the prayer that God answered, because it was the only part that He could answer.

God will not do things contrary to His nature, contrary to His laws, or contrary to love. In all of these examples, the prayers did not defy God’s nature or His laws. God always wants to answer our prayers to our satisfaction, but if we pray against His will for our lives, then it might appear that our prayers go unanswered. Jesus expressed his desires to God, but because he knew what was at stake, his ultimate desire was to do what God wanted him to do.

God always answers prayers, even if the answer is “no” or “not yet.” The answer to Jesus’ desire to avoid painful death was a “no.” The answer to Elijah’s prayer was an immediate “yes,” and the answer to Mary’s prayer was also a “yes,” but she did not live to see the centuries-long fulfillment of that answer. But regardless of the answer or the timing of the answer, God always listens – He always has, and He always will. These are just three examples in a long wonderful book of stories about answered prayer.

    True/false tests

    Exercise text without examples:

Every part of a true sentence must be “true”
If any one part of the sentence is false,
the whole sentence is false despite many other true statements.

    Pay close attention to
negatives, qualifiers, absolutes, and long strings of statements

    Negatives can be confusing.
If the question contains negatives, as “no, not, cannot”
Drop the negative and read what remains.
Decide whether that sentence is true or false.
If it is true, its opposite, or negative, is usually false

Qualifiers are words that restrict or open up general statements.
Words like “sometimes, often, frequently, ordinarily, generally” open up the possibilities of making accurate statements. They make more modest claims, are more likely to reflect reality, and usually indicate “true” answers.

    Absolute words restrict possibilities.
“No, never, none, always, every, entirely, only”
imply the statement must be true 100% of the time and usually indicate “false” answers

Long sentences often include groups of words set off by punctuation.
Pay attention to the “truth” of each of these phrases.
If one is false, it usually indicates a “false” answer

Often true/false tests contain more true answers than false answers. You have more than 50% chance of being right with “true”. However, your teacher may be the opposite. Review pasts tests for patterns.

What are Antonyms? – Definition & Examples

In this lesson, we will take a look at antonyms. Antonyms are words that have opposite meanings to other words in a sentence. Using antonyms can help us improve our writing and vocabulary skills.

    Definition of Antonyms

An antonym is a word that means the opposite of another word. For instance, the antonym of ‘hot’ may be ‘cold.’ The root words for the word ‘antonym’ are the words ‘anti,’ meaning ‘against’ or ‘opposite,’ and ‘onym,’ meaning ‘name.’

In order to better understand antonyms, let’s take a look at what the word ‘synonym’ means. A synonym is a word that has a similar meaning to or exactly the same meaning as another word. Synonyms and antonyms are exactly the opposite.

    Why Are Antonyms Important?

Oddly enough, to better understand the meaning of a word, we can take a look at its antonym, or opposite meaning. For instance, take the word ‘morose.’ The definition of ‘morose’ is ‘gloomily or sullenly ill-humored.’ Sometimes, even reading a dictionary definition is not enough to give us a complete understanding of a word. Most dictionaries provide synonyms and antonyms, as well.

For instance, here are a few listed synonyms for the word ‘morose:’ ‘moody,’ ‘sour,’ ‘sulky.’ Also, here are a few antonyms: ‘cheerful’ and ‘optimistic.’ Now we know that the opposite of ‘morose’ is cheerful and even optimistic! Taking a look at both the synonyms and antonyms really provides us with a clearer definition.

    Using Antonyms in Writing

Sometimes, we get stuck when trying to choose the best word in a sentence, or we tend to use the same words too often. For instance, we might be looking for a word that means the opposite of ‘courageous,’ but we want to choose a different word than ‘scared.’ Let’s take on the antonym challenge and see if we can find a better word!

When we look up the word ‘courageous’ and scroll down to the list of antonyms, we see words like: ‘chickenhearted,’ ‘cowardly,’ and ‘gutless.’ These words are more vivid than the word ‘scared,’ and by using more vivid words in our writing, we improve our writing.

    Improving Our Vocabulary

Using antonyms can help improve our vocabulary, as well. As we saw with the word ‘scared,’ we tend to have a list of ‘go to’ words when we write. It is easier to pull out words that we are comfortable using, but some of those words may be overused. When we look at a list of antonyms, we discover new words to add to our ‘go to’ list, and the more we use new words, the better our vocabulary will be.

    Lesson Summary

An antonym is a word that means the opposite of another word. For instance, the antonym of ‘hot’ may be ‘cold.’ The root words for the word ‘antonym’ are the words ‘anti,’ meaning ‘against’ or ‘opposite,’ and ‘onym,’ meaning ‘name.’

In order to better understand antonyms, let’s take a look at what the word ‘synonym’ means. A synonym is a word that has a similar meaning to or exactly the same meaning as another word. Synonyms and antonyms are exactly the opposite. Understanding and using antonyms can improve our writing skills and vocabulary knowledge. It takes a little extra time to look up new words, but the results are well worth the effort.
